I don't spec on cards anymore; it feels gross to use my platform/clout to try and spike cards. I want card prices to go down, not up. Now, occasionally putting 10k+ eyeballs on a card is going to spike it, but I'm not going to buy out anything.
Kinda want to see a single copy of Syr Ginger in this list. Not sure whether or not it's good, but it's definitely got a couple bits of text that are at least tangent to what the deck is trying to do.
This is very very similar to the list I've been playing for the last year and won my local league season with except I'm running Skorpehk Lord instead of Cavalry which is infinitely better.
I have a rules question as I'm just dipping my toes in legacy and I know both cards are played in legacy. If my opponent has a trinasphere like in game 2(?) And I have a chalice of the void and three open mana can I play chalice on 0 or 1? Or due to it being xx cost and trinasphere making it cost at least 3 mana am play it for x=2 and wait until I have 4 mana? This applies to any x cost spell. Say I have stonecoil serpent and an effect that drains my opponent for 1 when a creature I control dies and my opponent is at 1. With trinasphere can x=0 or does x have to equal 3? Can I declare x=0 and just pay 3 for the sphere winning the game or not?
@@ThrabenUniversity ok, thank you. I had a practice game with my uncle and we had that situation happen (he plays green tron in every format it's legal) and I have a 8 cast deck in the works. He wanted to chalice through his own sphere and we didn't know how that interacted. Glad we played it right.
Why the cavalry at all if that slot was a force or even a petal or chopped up as more of ur other threats it just seems better as anything else but it.
idk in my opinion etched champion is stronger than the knight and kappa in this list specially if nettle goes up to 4x... gives more insane turn 1 plays... anyways was fun to watch
Some discard in the board, like thoughtseize or even (given your high creature count) cabal therapy would have been great to bring in vs combo. Given the aggro nature of your deck I would much rather disrupt hands with targeted discard than try to hold open interaction (unless that interaction is free).
I've tried it in a list almost identical to this and was not huge on it. Holding up a blue for something like a flusterstorm isn't much different than a single black for thoughtseize where it's relevant.
@@Bloodsin12 No offence, but the difference is being proactive and having the information to know what you are playing around. Most of the early game with this deck is is very mana tight (like most aggro decks) so its the difference between the speed of getting threats out versus holding up mana for a flusterstorm. VS if you run a 1 mana discard spell, yes, you still have to pay that 1 mana and slow down for a turn, but you aren't slowing down every turn or being put in a position where you need to go shields down to get something going. I think my only really concern with playing thought seize/cabal therapy in this list is having the black mana, but realistically this list should probably be running at least 1 spring leaf drum anyway given the 5x 0 drop creatures in the list. Could also split Seat of the Synods with vault of whispers given that the color pips are 60/40, maybe do 3 seats and 1 vault. Even thinking about fluster storm and metallic rebuke, both aren't hard counters. The combo deck can pay the mana or pause the combo and go off over multiple turns (such as with galvanic relay). Again, if the interaction is free I feel more inclined (like surgical extraction or to a lesser extent metallic rebuke, only because you do need a good board state to make it free and its still conditional on mana)
@@animeexpresscon One big thing you are missing is this is a chalice deck too. Slamming T1 chalice on 1 means you won't ever been casting those thought seizes unless you take a turn off and have access to black. Flusterstorm and rebuke at least get around chalice.
A nice thing that exanguinator cavalry brings to this deck that it survives meltdown meaning you still have at least one scaling threat afterwards
sometimes i forget you can just put any card into any deck and queue up, there's literally nothing stopping you
Welcome to the business model of my channel lol
Did you buy 1000 copies of Exsanguinator Cavalry and hope to 10x your $?
I hope not, itd hurt a few budget vintage decks 😅
I also grabbed afew 😂😊
I was able to grab 2 borderless before they dried up.

That card is certainly reasonable.
Happy new year Phil!

God damn! That storm deck went off
Happy new year you absolute legend!
Happy new year Phil! 🎉
Peak intro
Not playing the fourth patchwork seems crazy

Yes. X is 0 (paying 3 extra mana) and X is 1 (paying 1 extra mana) both work!

that intro was excellent lmao😂

That was the challenge
The question was "Is this good enough for this shell?" It certainly wasn't terrible, but I'm not sure it is better than existing options.

anyways was fun to watch
Champion is scary.
the best removal is player removal
Nice
I really dont like cavalry, just feels so weak for three mana.
Menace+Lifelink can matter a lot against fair decks. Even some unfair ones. He almost out-sustained tendrils

Yeah. Thoughtseize is a messed up card. People really tend to undervalue it, and it can be awful vs fair decks, but vs combo it's just amazing
