Are you selling your collection or just the black metal stuff? I read you were done with black metal. Im nit a huge fan myself but i was just wondering whats made you feel like that.
Just the bm vinyl at the moment. Many reasons, the main one being a pretty serious health issue that I had two years ago and almost sent me back to the Almighty, it made me entirely reconsider my approach to collecting. Had I passed away my collection would have ended up at the recycling facility since nobody in the beloved ones circle has any clue of the value of these. So yeah I reckoned that at age 48 I could live just fine with the cd pressings and a spare €50k in my bank account.
@@OldSchoolMetalVinylSorry to hear that. I hope you are on the mend now. 48 is younger than me. That's scary. You have an absolutely amazing collection but you've hit on a good point with how things would end up if you were gone. I don't think it will bother you if you sold it all. You've clearly lived this shit for years and no amount of money can buy that. 🤘
@@sixzerothreeonesevensixnine yes I 100% recovered and yes I definitely enjoyed these lps to the fullest, no regrets whatsoever. Great experiences and memories at gigs & shops around Europe but it's time to move on in life and invest the money on other projects. Besides, with a collection of over 3000 items even with all the black metal gone I will still have more music left than I could physically listen to in a lifetime.
Nothing is forever and no vinyl is coming to the grave with us no matter how rare&oop, it's literally just a bit of plastic and cardboard mixed up and designed to make our short time on this planet a bit more pleasant. Cool and all but there comes a time in your life when owning thousands of lps isn't all that important anymore.
@@OldSchoolMetalVinyl Man it has it's value to each person. Some people like you sell it and some wouldn't like me. Obviously it's a vinyl but has it's value for some people and I think it is awesome to have something so rare and old (well, 40 year old vinyl) but you get the point. I own vinyl records from the 70s - 80s and I think it's an awesome bit of history.
@@Cxdyy sure I mean I do see why some people want to hold onto it as long as possible, it's a great album an all but yeah unless one has children into metal who would inherit it, at some point it's bound to be traded/sold. Either that or a recycling facility will dispose of it which is the saddest scenario that I wanted to avoid.
Cool video!! I am also the proud owner of a yellow goat! If i told you how little i payed for it you would probably not believe me, i just about pissed myself

Got my copy for 40.000 lire + 2 basic Venom records back in 1993 at a record fair. Original cost was 80.000 and yes it had (still has!) the insert.
Fuckin A man, i could never part with this masterpiece, just seeing it gives me chills.
I couldn't get rid of something like that, hope it gets to a good owner
Yes the new owner is 100% committed to the genre. 10 years ago I could have never considered doing sth like this either.
Damn I would keep this vinyl forever.
