Nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed even if your family did help you financially to buy a home. It’s on our (Indian/Asian) culture to help the next generation and family members. In India, my grand father helped my mamaji and Masi, and here in America my parents helped me and my sister. And there is nothing wrong - as it helps the next generation get settled, and a home is a prime way to build equity and wealth.

Make sure you guys make your 30-day list for tarion, and then follow on. Even if this was under assignment sale, the past owner should record the PDI list of items they did. In addition, if they did not (really lame of them if they didn't), start making a list for the 30 days as that captures most if not everything which was missed during PDI.
You have to look up the Tarion guide, or you will be letting the builder off the hook for items that they are supposed to fix. It's a new house, so that you will have a lot of settlement, moisture, and just general cracks and breaks.
Read up on Tarion and know what will void your warranty versus what won't. Almost anything you do after will void the warranty for items you touch, even installing your appliances. So could you read it in detail?

This is not possible without back home support. I am in Real Estate in GTA and I know the market here.. At this age you can’t have 35% of deposit. Let’s assume you bought 1M then you needed 350K upfront.. Highly unlikely.. 1 person full time and 2nd part time income you can’t buy the property here.. ofcourse your family helped you guys so no shame in accepting it..

If you go back to their old video of why they left for Canada, they explain that Saransh had a stake in the family business and he wanted to get out of it. I think he sold his stake off .. which is a wise thing to do if they want to settle in Canada. Also, its rightful ownership in family business.. everyone is a member of the trust. So no shame to accept what's your own
Congratulations...its really a great achievement..👏👏. You said, you sold your property in India and paid the mortgage in canada. Will you pl tell me how did you transfer the funds? Or make a video on it? Because I am OCI holder ( over seas citizen of India) and as far as I know , I can't take the funds outside India if I sell any property there. Did you take help of any CA or lawyer there? I hope you wont mind answering this.
Just the sell the property pay the capital gain tax to government thru CA and and get the certificate from them, show it to bank and do wire transfer... easy peasy

I get that you sold your house back home and concerns of people talking about support from parents are be true. Cause even back in India you would not have so much equity to make that downpayment in Canada unless you have support from parents buying the house in India. No offense just an analysis.
You are absolutely right. They have bought a house in small town way outside the city. Even land in villages in India will be far more expansive than their house. Thats the whole point of not telling what city they bought the house in. Plus they got support from family, just making things up for youtube.
Its their personal matter how they did it, even if they got support. It’s known that everyone alters the truth in their own way. I am not sure what facts are but it didn’t make sense, especially when it’s about transparency and setting realistic expectation for viewers.
@@prakashbhushan7561 that is the thing, nothing was transparent, at least tell the people what place you bought the house in, that is the basic when it comes to transparency. Just talking in percentages is like citing some government data. They want to show how fancy their lifestyle is to Indian audience, majority of them who are clueless. They titled the last video as buying house in Toronto, Canada. They didn't buy the house anywhere near Toronto, but audience will think they are rich enough to buy a house in Toronto. That's the kind of aura they want portray by hiding facts. Not cool at all.
@@mrright4551 agreed but people are dumb that way. If one feels that they are rich which seems to me which I know I am not then why watch it and/set your expectations like that. Right now anywhere in GTA if you are buying even a three floor townhouse then it will cost around $900k. So the down payment would be $315k plus closing and everything will cost $350k. Which is like INR 2.1 crore which you can fetch only if you have a fancy house and are damn rich back in India. Hope people both content creator and viewer are more mature to analyze what they see.
What’s wrong even if family helped them? It’d in our Indian/Asian culture to help the next generation - especially to build a foundation in the way of buying a home.

Yes they have money from parents. A youtuber (both without a real job) with not so many viewers and followers won’t possibly be making enough to pay the mortgage. So they have a huge downpayment to get a small mortgage. Im talking about facts and not to discredit these couples. Anyway congrats and enjoy your house. You guys now need a car too
Their share of business/property in India was sold off by them, as they have no plans of returning. And that's how the downpayment was arranged. If they would have stayed back there, they would be a part of it. So its rightful ownership I feel.And a wise decision too

Congratulations! It is good to buy a house young because then you can pay it off before your retire.
A new construction means less problems that need to be resolved down the line. Only in maybe 60 years will the house be considered old and you could have great-grandchildren by then
