One of the most influential voices in comedy, Jerrod Carmichael is set to host the 80th Annual Golden Globe® Awards.
The three-hour telecast serves as the official kickoff to the 2023 awards season and will air live coast-to-coast on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on NBC and Peacock.
The Golden Globe Awards is one of the biggest nights on the calendar for live viewing. It's also one of the few awards shows that combines the honorees of both film and television.
Produced by Dick Clark Productions and Jesse Collins Entertainment in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 210 territories worldwide. Helen Hoehne is president of the HFPA. Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon will serve as executive producers.

she's definitely aware of herself and what people find funny in her characters. she's so good at doing characters that the line between real/unintentional becomes blurry. comedic genius.

Sometimes good character actors breakthrough to more recognition, more "stardom" and it's so satisfying. Jennifer is one of those. Shining in small roles and then it seems all of a sudden, she is a star. Love her.

For those that clearly don’t know… she wasn’t speaking spontaneously. She was doing a “bit”. If you’ve seen enough awards shows, you’ve seen sometimes when a presenter or presenters will do a little “bit” before they announce the award. Sometimes it’s a cute story, sometimes they speak about the history of the award they’re presenting, sometimes it’s a little performance bit, whatever. Her story was true, but it was a “bit”. She was given 3 minutes to tell her story, then present the award. The best presenters (and she’s one of them) make it seem like it was spontaneous. No… it was planned, but the story was true.
