How? I've been living in Bruges for 25 years and never have I seen such an amazing video of our city. You really are talented and thank you for being so nice and positive about Bruges. It IS a lovely place indeed 💕
I live in Bruges and I love to see you guys talk so good about it because it's the most beautiful city ever. But you really need 2-3 days to see all of Bruges because it has a lot of beautiful places and really good food everywhere
I am from Bruges. Indeed, it is a beautiful city, but you really need 2-3 days to visit the city. Regarding our cuisine, we do have a lot more refined dishes then mussels and beef stew. And regarding being expensive, I don 't agree with that. Prices are pretty much on par with many other cities I visited. And I have travelled worldwide.
Prices the same as worldwide? Maaaaaaaaan, well woman I mean, but you can't compare prices in Europe with for instance Africa or Asia.. or even Eastern Europe.
I am planning a short trip to brussels, and I have 1 day to visit another city, which one do you recommend? also any recommendation on food/restaurants. :)
I’ve never commented on a UA-cam video EVER, but your videos made me want to let people know how awesome your contents are! Visual/sound quality is amazing, the comments and vibe you two make are chill yet enthusiastic (reminds me of my good friends back in US), etc I can go on if I wanted to. I recently moved to London from Japan, and your videos has been an inspiration to visit a bunch of these places esp the European counties. Keep it going guys!!
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Comments like this really push us forward! Thank you for taking the time to leave one 😃. We have a lot more great content to release over the next year! Hope you enjoy it 😊
Miss bruges so much I've been there 4 times already and planning to move!! It's just the right place for live life without stress!!!. And it's just beautiful
The horse carriage rides are expensive but you see so many places you would not know where there, loved it. Did all you did but lucky me had a whole weekend and am going back next week to do Brugge and Ghent this time.
I went to Bruges last October for two days with my family. Went up the belfry tower, took a boat tour, had tasty sorbet and waffles at the oyya shop, went to the cathedral, found this lovely little bakery and enjoyed some walks through the streets. Visually, it's a stunning city. I loved my short stay there, but I couldn't figure the place out. It was crawling with tourists. Nearly every building near the Markt/Town Centre seemed to be a hotel or some tourist trap or something similar. Even at night, when I took walks around town and the suburbs on my own, it was tourist central. There were plenty of houses being lived in, but having seen so many being offered for stays on Airbnb and the like made me wonder if many people actually lived in Bruges at all. Being a lifelong Londoner, I can spot and avoid tourist-traps and rip-offs a mile away when I go into Central London. In Bruges however, I couldn't get my bearings at all. I couldn't tell if many Belgians actually lived there or if the whole town was some sort of museum play-thing for tourists.
Yes it has a lot of traps , but is still a great place to go , and you can get off the tourist route , and go to the locals market, over the back of the big new square , usually only locals in the area and a few locals bars , re: the real Brugge
You guys are the best, you never whine like most travel bloggers, you just give us the goods! Always the useful essentials. And as a professional television editor I gotta say nice work to whomever cuts your videos! I'm in Brussels today, will hit Antwerp tomorrow and Bruges on Sunday! THANKS!!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge about traveling! In 2018 I went to Bruges and I loved it, watching your video helped me tremendously at the time of organizing my trip. I can’t thank you enough. I love your UA-cam channel and I enjoy watching your videos. Warm greetings from Cleveland, Ohio.
Thank you, I only was in Brugge for a short time to be near a place to visit my uncle's WWII RAF grave nearby and it rained besides. So I stayed near the square but wasn't able to take the boat tour. Thanks for this also because you are among the better YTubers for such travel tours. You don't chatter on and on.
I went to the same harp concert myself only 4 months ago. Really beautiful to see and hear! Anyone visiting Bruges who has more time, you can visit the Hospital of St. John. The hospital was founded in the 12th century and you can go and visit the medieval wards. The hospital is situated in the same location as where the concert is held. So they're good things to do together :)
Thank you for that info. My husband and I both work at hospitals and will enjoy checking that out. We were in Brugge 10 years ago for our honeymoon and now we will be back to celebrate our 10th anniversary in Dec.
I was born and raised in Brugge. I have to say when I was a kid there were hardly any tourists. We would stare at the occasional foreigner - the loud American in particular (no offense haha). Great video. I think it's the best of your Brussels videos. Great scenic shots, wonderful drone views, top notch editing. I love brewery tours, so glad you went. This was a great way to start my day. Thanks.
Just for the record: it is PROHIBITED to fly a drone over a city or village in Belgium (not sure if even implied in all of Europe) even when being an American licensed drone Pilot.
4 days into my European trip in '82 I ended up in Brugge, and wanted to live there. During the weekend market, bought a $2.00 rotisserie chicken, took it to one of the red awning bars on the square, ordered a Duval and had the time of my life..
tip: there ARE electrical outlets in second class, just 2, at the very ends of the wagons and you have to search a bit. Depens on the train if they are on the roof, in the little hallway (the very old trains), or at your side. And first class the seets are a bit bigger. you get more space
