Haha I have almost the same model and I tought to myself "got to be a better way" which lead me here, im glad to see that I used the exact same method, thanks! It seems like it would be easier if the rotating brush came off ...🙅♂
To get the brush roll off, you have to pry off both of the white plastic end pieces on each side… i first pushed from the inside, then used a flat head screw driver from the outside.
Hope this makes sense, I’m not the best at explaining things sometimes.
I'm a self employed cleaning lady and this is the only vacuum I will use hands down

My shark vacuum model is NV360, so it is very different from your video. I think I just have to try my best to clean all the hair off the brush. Thanks for your video.
I think i broke the plastic screws (on bottom) not thinking when I unscrewed them.
How do you get the rolling brush out??????????
You don't. At least that's my experience but, I don't require a sterile, squeaky vacuum cleaner

How the Heck does the Roller come off to Change the Belt? Our Belt Broke and getting the Roller off is a Mystery! Anyone know of a Video that shows how to remove the roller to replace the Belt on this HV300 Style of Vacuum? Thanks!

What he calls a "ridge" on the brushroll is actually a groove, There are two of them.

My roller just stopped. I clean hair out. My roller don't move.
Ugh. I can't get the hair out of the brushes. It's tangled too tight so I just gave it a trim. All you can do, I guess.
You can try using a box cutter instead of scissors to cut the hair and slice where the ridge/grooves are
It is nonsense that we can not remove brushbar and can not clean.
I agree, that would make it easier to clean
I'm sure there's a way. it wasn't moulded as one piece. just need to be a little more mechanically inclined

So basically just throw out the entire unit when the bar isn’t removable. Planned obsolescence at its finest.
No, not necessarily unless there's so much stuff caught in it. I cleaned mine in 10 minutes.
Pretty crappy design
The clog was the big issue with mine.🫤
Try checking the tube, there might be some debris stuck in there. I have an older video I have not posted yet where I removed the clog. I found a crumpled $20 bill!
