This carefully curated special release comes as a 4CD Deluxe Edition Box and on digital formats, each boasting 35 live tracks!
The first two discs feature material from the band’s seminal ‘Live!’ album issued in 1977. Routinely described as one of the greatest ever live concert releases, it is here in all its glory.
Disc 3 offers the rare ‘Tokyo Quo’ album, which, as the name suggests, was released only in Japan; barring a very limited vinyl release for Record Store Day 2014 this has never been released in the UK.
The final disc in the box is the previously unreleased ‘Australia ‘74’, thirteen tracks recorded on 20th November that year at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney.

It's a pity that this box set doesn't include a 24bit/96kHz high resolution copy of the album, via one platform or another, such as a high resolution download, or on a Blu-ray Audio disc. I'll probably still buy it though.

Remastered tracks - What is that all about?
Live & Dangerous was slated for doing this a no of years ago!

The Piledriver deluxe edition from earlier this year included a really good remaster (better than the compressed 2005 ones) so I suspect that this box set will also be of the same quality.
For recordings of that age, some sort of remastering is really needed but it's easy to overdo it by compressing the dynamics away or by emphasizing some frequencies too much! But as I said, I expect good remasters.
