I know. A lot of people don't recognize Slash as a blues guitarist but IMO he's one of the best. Theres so many great blues licks that came straight from him if anyone ever wants to take a listen, and youre right. He is holding himself back a little bit. Very humble guy.
BB King really was and is the greatest of all time. He couldn’t play his guitar and sing at the same time because he put so much into each part that he couldn’t take away from either. Truly my musical inspiration and millions of other artists draw their strength from his genius
YOO My cup is FULL of Jim Beam, Coke and about to be mixed with a WHOLE LOTTA SOUL and smilin watching this reaction...This is probably my 10th complete watch through of this video but the FIRST reaction watch! Glad it was yours Matthews FAM!
B.B. King was EXACTLY the same in person as he presented himself on stage & the most awesome thing about him was that even when he was sick & feeling bad, when he spoke to you, there were ALWAYS words in the sentences he would actually sing rather than speak. He was an extraordinary individual & just being in his presence made you smile. Kind of like watching you & your whole family!
Well we had Bevo the longhorns this week for supper. Just a few more weeks before we get something a little more to our liking, waiting for Albert to get too town. Nothing like the taste of some fresh gator. GEAUX TIGAHS!!
Slash was humbled and respective. He did his thing but let Riley " do his THANG!" You know Slash will forever feel the hand of BB on his left leg forever when he hits them notes. This is greatness at it's finest...... Lucille?..you got your work cut out for you!..I said..."Lucillle!!?You got your work cut out for you!!!....!!! But I know you will always draw me back Baby....DRAW ME BACK!!! Every time with your redheaded self in those high heels and smile!! LORD! have mercy.....!(This was my inebriated reaction under the influence of a (LITTLE) Bourbon and coke
So glad did this...Susan and Derek got married combined their bands...saw them two months ago on wheels of soul tour they were amazing...Its called Tedeshi truckers band
In 2002 I was on vacation with my then husband to Memphis, TN. We stayed at the Heartbreak Hotel and Beale Street was having a block party that weekend. We didnt even know about it til we got there. I got to see BB King at his blues bar through the window. Lol. It was a total surprise cuz I didnt know he was gonna be playing there. Tickets were $20 and it was sold out within minutes! And the bonus is that Steven Segal was there too! I bought a disposable camera and took as many pics as I could! Beale Street was an experience I will never forget.
If you play guitar like me this is how you start well that’s how I started. I’m sure a lot of people will disagree but every genre of music is connected to the blues it’s a huge web.
Fun Facts Derek Trucks (who is considered one of the best slide guitarist today) and Susan Tedesci are married he is also the nephew of Butch Trucks the original drummer of the Allman Brothers Band who you should check out if you have never heard of.
I saw BB King live three times before he died. Even when he was eaten up with diabetes, he could barely move around much anymore, he still put on an incredible show. Dancing in his chair, grooving, playing his guitar Lucille, singing... He'd sing a song, bring the house down, then tell a story about his life, then play another song, tell another story, another song, another story. Truly one of the all-time GOAT performers and all-around entertainers. He could sing, dance, play guitar, write his own song, tour, play live clubs, tell stories, and hold a crowd in the palm of his hand.
Matthews Fam: Love the enthusiasm but you should look ( & react ) to one Of BB King’s songs in prime, say 1960s and ‘70s. He died a few years later than this clip & was already showing major signs of slipping in terms of his singing. & playing ability due to ill health & age.. The fact that he has many guest stars is usually a sign of someone who is not in peak form. Somehow it all came together but it’s a far cry from prime BB which is all over UA-cam.
Ron Wood never gets the credit he deserves because he took over from Mick Taylor and plays alongside Keith Richards but he really is a great guitarist.
Blues is ALWAYS soul music. You should DEFINITELY get some Buddy Guy going on the channel. NO ONE ELSE can say that Hendrix would cancel his own show to go see them play, (and learn from him". And if you can get a chance to see him play live, hit a 21+ show. That's where the real Buddy comes out.
I love this type of music, but when I listen to it, to me, it usually sounds incomplete. It has a great, soulful front and back end that I like, but to my ears it is missing the middle that would give it a girthy full flavor. I always hear a counter melody in my head (usually a Tenor and/or Alto Sax backed up by a Trumpet and Trombone) through different portions of it that I never hear in real life. I would love to hear B.B. King play supported by a band composition I think him and his sound deserves.
Gavin St. Clair The Defining Moment it’s, BB King, (RIP), Slash from Gun & Roses, on the top hat, Ron. wood, guitarist from The Rolling Stones, Blue coat,, Red and the man & woman are British, I think Eric Clapton shows up top, but can’t remember, Eric Clapton, the best blues guitar player on the planet
Bruh. You HAVE to react to SVR aka the best musician of all time aka Stevie Ray Vaughn. He brought blues and rock n roll together. The greats like bb king and buddy guy (who SVR played on stage with many times) spoke about how nobody could do it like Stevie Ray. Nobody had his passion for music. Nobody could speak to people through their instruments the way he did it. I may be a little biased, but to me SVR is the best musician there ever was. He is probably the best guitar player we have ever seen, oh and it doesn't hurt that he has a voice straight out of the blues. I don't need to request a specific song. Just search for Stevie Ray Vaughn, and the first video you choose will be a great one (they all are great). Do yourself a favor. Get some SVR in your life
fuck phones at this point. you will watch video that was filmed professionally instead any time :) phone here is a waste of time. especially if you in a crowd. i would rather enjoy the music .
Slash is probably the most respectful guitars I’ve ever seen. It’s all about BB. He wants no attention. Respect.
I know. A lot of people don't recognize Slash as a blues guitarist but IMO he's one of the best. Theres so many great blues licks that came straight from him if anyone ever wants to take a listen, and youre right. He is holding himself back a little bit. Very humble guy.
It's shows how much RESPECT slash has for THE LEGENDARY BB KING
love black american music..bb king and slash
I met B.B. King in 2006 ... wow! Changed my life! ♥ LUV HIM!

Love B.B. King. Slash did good but there will NEVER be a sound better than Lucille
You know B.B king had a lot of guitars all called Lucille right?
BB King really was and is the greatest of all time. He couldn’t play his guitar and sing at the same time because he put so much into each part that he couldn’t take away from either. Truly my musical inspiration and millions of other artists draw their strength from his genius

I saw BB King in the 80s in Seattle. Felt like I was in the presence of royalty! Thanks for sharing Mr King!
B.B. Slash and B.B🔥🔥🔥 only flames brotha!!
Miracle on Earth
One of my hopes was to see BB King play, but unfortunately I didn't make it. At least we have these recordings!
I actually did get to see him play back in the 1990's he played at the Forum here in Harrisburg,PA. Some good stuff right there.
Best reaction video of all time.
Riding with the King! Eric Clapton and BB... The whole album is phenomenal!
Not to mention two of the greatest
At another part of this B.B put his head over for Slash to put his hat on him and just looked so happy. It seemed to be a great honor to Slash!
Should check out him with Buddy Guy, Chaka, SRV, and others.

So glad did this...Susan and Derek got married combined their bands...saw them two months ago on wheels of soul tour they were amazing...Its called Tedeshi truckers band
I saw him live in FBX back about 15-20 years ago. One of the best shows I have ever witnessed.
In 2002 I was on vacation with my then husband to Memphis, TN. We stayed at the Heartbreak Hotel and Beale Street was having a block party that weekend. We didnt even know about it til we got there. If you play guitar like me this is how you start well that’s how I started. I’m sure a lot of people will disagree but every genre of music is connected to the blues it’s a huge web.
