This is the most obvious response to the weak, pathetic response by both local officials and FEMA. As far as that goes, I wonder how those without internet access will even see these "updates". I can because I self-evacuated from Buncombe County. A better plan would be that county-city officials print lists of where resources/aid can be found in the county, and then these lists in all sorts of public places (grocery stores, gas stations, bus stops, banks, etc). Just the facts, not these bureaucrats' maudlin feelings of "solidarity".
I can say that it is obvious that not one of the agencies ever rehearsed beforehand best practices on how to respond to such natural disasters. Every year these bureaucrats receive funds and who know how they spend it. But certainly not on preparedness!!
