I cringed when i heard it since i also have chemistry degree Jesus Christ what a bunch of bullshit. What is the use of putting oil-based and then water-based products, if oil holds down water in the skin, and water-based products can't penetrate through oil-based products wtfff
@Divna Peoska but oil's molecule is bigger than water's and the structure of it is different since it repels water, hence why water can't go through oil molecule on it's own.
I hate it when people say that skin is a reflection I eat healthy and workout I still breakout it’s not always food that causes breakouts . My friends eat like crap never break out !
Well, a healthy diet is only a portion of what ultimately affects your skin; I don't think she was saying diet is the ONLY important factor. Genetics, natural oil levels, hormones, skin care, and many other factors ultimately contribute to the final result. I would highly suggest finding a good aesthetician to help you figure out what exactly is causing breakouts specifically for your skin.
Same. I eat very healthy, I workout. I sleep enough, don't drink, nor smoke. So people must stop saying that your skin is what you eat cause it is not. I know people who eat fast food every single day and have amazing skin. I have Hashimoto and since having hypothyroidism, my acnee, at almost 29, is quite bad. It's more about genetics, hormones, stress.
It's definitely not. My skin is not bad but it doesn't react to food or drink at all. If I eat sweet and greasy food it's the same as if I drink lots of water and eat clean. Food is not a trigger for everyone.
I think so too cause she recently did a video with Arch Digest and her skincare drawer had a lot of Drunk Elephant products. Maybe she rotates her products but considering that almost everyone who appear in these videos features Barbara Sturm, I highly doubt that

It can be true aswell depending the types of oil that we use. Oil tends to penetrate skin better and water kinda sit on top of our skin. But you can use water based serum, oil based serum then your moisturizer which usually a mixed between oil and water.
Luisa Hurtado I agree to you on this because water get absorbed the fastest into our skin than anything despite having bigger molecules. The fact that human body is 70 percent water , proves it all.
@___ thomas Good lord, it absolutely matters and is completely scientific. Water based products have the ability to be absorbed into the deepest layers of our skin, whereas oil cannot because the molecules are too big to cross the skin barrier. If you put oil on before water based products, you are effectively trapping all of the products you put onto the oil and causing them to stay on the surface of the skin instead of being absorbed, making them basically useless. For reference, put oil and water in a cup. They immediately separate and the oil creates a barrier that water cannot cross. Skincare is not like makeup where you can do whatever you want and its fine- skincare is literally science. Doing it this way will not hurt her, but she's basically wasting all of these products.
___ thomas dude, water molecules can not penetrate oil. So yes, it performs exactly like water and oil in a cup. My point with that analogy was to remind you that water and oil separate for a reason and that water cannot penetrate oil. By “mixing” the cup, you usually mix the two for a time before they separate again. You need special ingredients/chemicals to force water and oil to truly mix, so what your saying doesn’t make sense.

I agree about your first point but I don't know about the second. She's over 60 years old. Maybe more than one moisturizer is overkill if you're in your 20s/30s. Skin can get so dry as we age.
I agree with your point about putting on oils before watery products. However, I think she's layering on a lot of serums and moisturizers because the more you mature, the dryer your skin gets. I'm barely 20 so using a pea-sized amount of a standard moisturizer is enough for me, but Anastasia is 60 and has to compensate more. Well to be completely honest, brows are something that should be individual and customized to each person's face. There is a reason why full brows look great on some people, but not on others. Their face structure can handle a fuller brow look. If you put a full brow on someone with features that can't handle it, it overpowers their small features and it is all you can stare at. All those high end dermatologist products 😍😍 no wonder she has such beautiful skin. Although my Mum has only ever used Simple soap and added a Simple moisturiser as she got older, never wears make-up, and she has amazing skin! My skin is super sensitive and breaks out so easily. I can never miss my skincare routine even for a day or I start to see little pimples.
Some of the ones she was mentioning was at home like steam ( use a pot and boil water) and a hot towel along with a facial massage that you can find basic ones online.
When I started watching this series I thought I'm going to learn a lot, after all these are super rich celebs with access to the best professionals and the best information, but it has been the opposite!! The amount of misinformation these people believe! Marketing really do bamboozle even the richest. Oil first water last. WTF.
So happy I saw this I need tips so bad. Im 41 and am late to the skin care game but it's overwhelming to me. She's goals she looks fricken amazing.
Many here are shocked at her instructions to use oils first, then watery serums, etc! It's the opposite of what every dermatologist seems to say, or other estheticians... Hmm. Serums are moisture you hold in with oils and moisturizer, which is why every skin care regimen instruction I've ever heard says to use products this way... Perhaps she was confused. And makeup wipes are not only usually filled with drying alcohol and possibly scents (irritating), but they're trash piling up in landfills. Check our Dr Dray and Caroline Hirons on UA-cam, etc, for good skin care advice! They're great people to.learn from. Good luck!!
Hi! Wouldn't it be more gentle to use an oil-based cleanser to remove the make-up? I like the Beauty Counter Cleansing Balm. Her eye contour is flawless! She is pretty.
As for the order of products. I have begun to be fascinated by all these rich people with access to everything who still can't figure out it's lightest to heaviest. I'm fascinated by it because it's intuitive and yet people still do the opposite.

@@SueEmmDee There is also great products on the market that do not cost 2,000 like The "le mer" products shes using! i find all of mine at sephora.
I’m Romanian and I love Anastasia . I am so proud of her .l, But her skincare regimen and what she said in this video is wrong on so many levels . Just wrong .
Stunning lady. I feel like she is looking younger after the routine than with the makeup on. I don't really understand why do some not agree with the order of her skincare regimen, but at least visually it looks beautiful. "Now it's time for you to go and I'm gonna go to bed" ❤️🛏️ great ending!
Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra skin care routine
Both. I neeeeeed both.
Deepika will wash face with lux soap and use l'oreal products 😂
Well, honestly both would never admit they use anything on their face. Just a cliche answer 'Oh I drink lots of water'.
@@k.p.4818 so true... Priyanka will tell she uses ubtan and natural stuffs 😂
@@vichnukoman that's the irony when you become an actress. You have to be beautiful, but never do anything extra to look like that, because then you are not a 'natural beauty'. Kind of sad, but it is the society's expectations, they can never be honest about such things.
Thank you for sharing your skin care routine and explaining each product used and their function. You have amazing skin it looks beautiful. I just started using La Mer and love it. At some point I will start Dr Barbara Sturm's products
She’s great with makeup but skincare??? Sheesh
As an aesthetician, I had to stop watching this video. lol Oh my goodness...
I watch these but I wonder if this is really what they do and use....or whether it's just something for the magazine
@@ginnybloomer5132 Honestly, I think both.. They're doing it for the benefit of themselves, their fans and the magazine... but I get the feeling (in most cases) that this is what they really do/use.
Oh Anastasia, why oh why did you ever agree to doing this??!! Make up wipes😭😭😭 Skincare is not your forte at all, definitely stick to make up - where you excel!
Iti doresc multa sanatate si succes in continuare. Hugs !
At first I read Nightmare Skincare Routine. Now seeing the video I wasn't exactly wrong. Love her though!
She’s a beautiful Romanian lady❤️
Every single time I see ABH I immediately think of Karen Walker's alter ego name, Anastasia BeaverHausen.
I love her even more! She looks beautiful
"It's better to use everything that is oily first and then you use the watery products after". NO ...this is the opposite of what you're supposed to do. The rule is to apply the lightest first and the heaviest last, since thinner products can’t penetrate thicker products. Oil is last!
Aveți produse foarte scumpe și cele mai bune alese ..felicitări pentru puterea dvs și unde ați ajuns ..🌹🇹🇩😍😍💍👑 LG cosmina ..Viva rumenia🇹🇩
Anastasia is goals 😍💕she is so elegant, classy & seems like a lovely person! Not to mention Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of the best makeup brands 😇😍
Her skin is gorgeous
La Mer it's so great!!
She is GORG without makeup 😍
Heart Evangelista should be next! 😊
All those high end dermatologist products 😍😍 no wonder she has such beautiful skin. Although my Mum has only ever used Simple soap and added a Simple moisturiser as she got older, never wears make-up, and she has amazing skin! My skin is super sensitive and breaks out so easily. I can never miss my skincare routine even for a day or I start to see little pimples.
oh anastasia, if only i was rich enough to get a facial once a month.
Some of the ones she was mentioning was at home like steam ( use a pot and boil water) and a hot towel along with a facial massage that you can find basic ones online.
She is actually more beautiful without makeup 😍
True ♥️
When I started watching this series I thought I'm going to learn a lot, after all these are super rich celebs with access to the best professionals and the best information, but it has been the opposite!! The amount of misinformation these people believe! Marketing really do bamboozle even the richest. Oil first water last. WTF.
Her hands are flawless👀
Cea mai de succes Româncă🥰
So happy I saw this I need tips so bad. Im 41 and am late to the skin care game but it's overwhelming to me. I never thought about my skin growing up I was focused on Barrell racing and rodeo competitions and now I could kick myself for not being more girly but never too late.
She is gorgeous!
As for the order of products. I have begun to be fascinated by all these rich people with access to everything who still can't figure out it's lightest to heaviest. I'm fascinated by it because it's intuitive and yet people still do the opposite.
A QUEEEENNNNNN 😍😍😍😍😍
I wish more of these would feature a cleansing balm in place of the makeup wipes! There are some really good ones out there.
OMG IS IT JUST ME OR DOES SHE LOOK SOOOOO MUCH BETTER AND MORE BEAUTIFUL WITHOUT MAKEUP THAN WITH MAKEUP??? I MEAN JUST LOOK AT HER!!!! SHE LOOKS 10 YEARS YOUNGER WITHOUT MAKEUP AND MORE BEAUTIFUL!!!!😍😍😍😍💋💋💋💋💋 LOVE U ANASTASIA SO MUCH!!!❤❤❤❤
Anastasia is from my Country: România. I’m So proud of her ❤️
She has amazing skin
Love Anastasia !
I'm so glad I finally found this video!!
Someone needs to tell her that she has the order totally wrong XD
I was waiting for her skin care video for a long time thank you bazaar 🌸
Oh my !! I love her so much ANASTASIABEVERLYHILLS IS MY INSPIRATION 😘😘😘
Oil can be used before water. It helps soften the top layer skin so that other products can penetrate better. A lot of Japanese products work this way. KOSE is the first I believe.
Such a classic beauty ♥️
Love her! She's so fabulous.
Holy Cow!!! The price of these products are CRAZY....I only wish I could afford it but yet she used a $5 makeup wipe. Did not get how you use over a grand on face creams for bed but a $5 makeup wipe. 🤯
oil is occlusive and therefore should be usey in the last step. if it is working for her it is fine. I layer from wet to oily.
Te iubim si suntem mandri de tine 💕
She DOES have good skin. I’m looking at her choice of products and generosity of sharing. ❤️
