Dude, you’re awesome. I went to a casino for the first time last year and approached the craps table but I had no idea what was happening. I just got a job in Vegas and I go out next month. Can’t wait to actually know what I’m doing lol.

    Great video.
Went to Reno on my honeymoon in 1993. Some stranger saw me looking at the craps table and asked me if I wanted to win? He said come with me and showed me exactly what you were teaching here. It was fast, furious, and fun, and I also won big!
I’m not a big gambler and don’t like to lose a dollar but I definitely want to go to Vegas and do this again.

Great energy - great info - easy to follow and no filler. Sharing this with a couple friends who have never played and will convince them CRAPS is THE game to play. Fun and exciting - you have the option to make sporadic, bigger house-edge bets that pay bigger and make things extra fun, here and there. OR - you can play slower and safer. Big ups for the great vids. OH, and I'm a redhead too :p

I've only ever done a very basic form of craps. Basically a felt table where the bet would be covered by the people to your right (no house really but you would give 10% of any cash out to the club hosting so you'd let stuff ride a lot). Anyone who wasn't on the bet could call out for or against. It was actually a lot of fun and always wanted to play again on a more complex scale. These videos are great and I will def give some of these strategies a try!

My 2nd video of yours and I enjoyed this one also. I am about a year behind so I hope the current change here in Florida doesn't spread to Nevada. (I Never go to a Florida Casino) Craps machines SUCK, but unfortunately saves the manpower issue casinos have been complaining about for years. If everyone goes away from real tables for machines, my half century craps addition will be over. Thanks for the entertaining videos.

I just play the Pass and the Come bets and with maximum Odds, if I can afford it. I limit myself to $700 of losses per day. Likewise I limit my winnings to $1400. Win or lose, I had fun playing craps for a day, which was the ultimate goal. No strategy involved. The mathematics are set in stone. You are either lucky or unlucky.

Hey mark love your videos. Me and my dad use a come bet strategy to play for hours on low bank roll. It's a combination of crap checks hopping the 7 and when your bets get wiped you cover it with the sevens then place all the come bets you lost but covered by the hop. the goal is to get rid of all of the short rolls by the averages. Usually i will walk out even but if one person rolls over 20 I make like 100 profit.

Good video, but you may be overloading the beginner with too much info. I have been playing craps for over 46 years and have done well with the pass line bet with the odds bet. I also place the 6 and 8. That's it. A good way to explain the odds bet is that it pays 2 to 1 on the 4 and 10, pays 3 to 2 on the 5 and 9, and pays 6 to 5 on the 6 and 8. If the minimum bet is $ 5 (hard to find these days) the casino allows an odds bet of $6 on the 5 and 9 and pays $ 9 (a 3-2 proportion). The place bet on 6 and 8 is $ 6 and a winner is paid $ 7 (pays 7 to 6).

The big 6 big 8 are the worst bets on the table. That’s why they are the biggest looking bets. If you bet the big 6 or 8 and it hits, it pays even money. That’s over a 16% advantage for the house. Their biggest advantage. Instead, play the 6 or 8 on the place bets and you get 7 for 6 instead of even money.

Learn to count cards in blackjack. Have a bankroll. Expect large variations in winning and losing. Play perfect strategy (including count-based variations). Raise and lower your bets based on the running count (converted to the true count). Hope you don't get backed off.
Otherwise, every other game you "play" in a casino, you're not really playing. You're gambling with odds that are stacked against you. Worse, in craps you're not even making decisions (except wagering, which is based on nothing). You're just putting your money down and watching.

travis: You can can play any combination of strategies you want. It is your money! However, I for one have seen a bunch of players on one table get angry if a player joins them and starts playing the Don't Pass/Don't Come while they are all playing the Pass/Come. To most people the Don't side of things brings a negative mindset/vibe to the table.
With that said: It is YOUR MONEY and you can bet it however you want. As a beginner my advice to you is to join a table where a spot next to a dealer is open. They are more than happy to help and will advise if you are starting to do something wrong. Last piece of advice: Don't reach down and grab any money off the table until they slide it in front of you...(with the exception of your Pass Line Odds bet. You can pick that up any time after roll 'in which you did not lose' and before the next roll).

There are NO craps "strategies." None. Nor can there be. The game cannot be beaten, and there's no skill involved. Why? Because it's gambling. It's not a game.
-- The odds are in favor of the house on every roll
-- Every roll is an independent event--it doesn't matter what has happened before or what will happen upcoming.
-- You cannot predict the outcome of the roll
-- Every bet on the table has a house advantage. Every single one
-- Because of variations, some people will come out ahead and some will come out behind. But there's no way to predict whom or when
-- If there was a betting system that worked, the casino would shut it down immediately.
-- There is no such thing as a hot or cold table. Each roll is an independent event. Each roll is random. And each roll favors the house.
If you want to play, fine. Go have fun. But you're not really "playing." You're just wagering and watching. And, over time, the house wins over the players. Always.

i agree the house has an edge and over a big enough sample size the edge will always win out but i don’t agree there’s no strategy involved

@@Jacqueline888 It's not a strategy. It is a tactic that doesn't work because of the randomizing effect of the dice hitting the wall. It has proponents, but studies have shown the results are inconclusive and unreliable.
It it worked, casinos would change the circumstances and the rules to prevent it. Instead, they allow it. Gee, I wonder why?

@@Jacqueline888 You cannot, by definition, have a strategy over a random event. That's impossible.
Humans have a built-in tendency to seek out patterns. They help us understand and put in order the world around us. This was vital to our evolution--and our development of agriculture, hunting, and later on cities and civilization. But we can also be fooled into thinking we see patterns that do not exist. It's why we think a table--craps, blackjack, whatever--or machine is "hot" or "cold." It isn't, except in hindsight--which is useless because it doesn't predict future events.
If you happen to get on a winning streak--again, random and unpredictable--that's just the variability of probabilities. It happens. Other people will lose more than would be predicted as well. BUT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SKILL INVOLVED. None. The only control you have is which bets you choose and in which amounts. And guess what? The casino has the advantage in all of them. Eventually, they will win.
The only way you can come out ahead is to play, get lucky enough to get ahead early, and then quit. But you have to quit forever. You can never, ever play the game anywhere ever again. Why? Because each roll, spin, hand, etc. is a random event. All you do is start the odds against you once again--no matter where or when you play.
The only two kinds of people that come out ahead in craps--in the long run--are liars and cheaters. This is true for every gambling game offered to anyone, anywhere, with one exception: blackjack. Because blackjack is NOT a series of random events; prior hands (during the same shoe) affect future events. A card played cannot be played again in that shoe. Thus, it affects future probabilities. But to win at blackjack, you have to play perfect basic strategy, vary that strategy when the count indicates, keep a running count, constantly convert it to a true count, and vary your bets accordingly--all without getting caught. Not because it's cheating, but because it's WINNING--and casinos do not like winners. So, if they determine you're counting cards (an "advantage player"), they may ask you to leave. Because they can.
If there was a way to win at craps legally, casinos would be 'backing off" players (asking them to stop playing and leave) all the time. But they never do, because there are no winners at craps. Just some people who, randomly, come out ahead and others, again randomly, who come out behind. And the house ALWAYS comes out ahead.
Self-delusion, coupled with a lack of understanding of statistics and probabilities, are the keys to a casino's success. So, go have all the fun you want. But you're not "playing." You're gambling with the odds stacked against you in a game over which you have no control at all.

There is one exception to the "every bet on the table has a house edge". Now I'll admit it's not technically "on the table" but it's a bet you can make. It's called the True Odds bet. After you place a Pass Line or Come bet and a point is established you can make a secondary bet. Depending on the casino this bet can be 1 to 100 times your base bet. It's called a True Odds bet cause you get paid the actual odds of rolling that point number before rolling a 7. For 6/8 you get 6:5 (6 ways to roll a 7 vs. 5 ways to roll a 6 or 8). 5/9 pays 3:2 (6 ways to roll 7 vs. 4 ways to roll 5 or 9). The 4/10 pays 2:1 (6 ways 7 vs. 3 ways 4 or 10).
It's the only bet in the entire casino that pays the actual odds it should. Yes, in theory you will lose more times than you win but when you win you get the true odds which makes it a mathematically no advantage bet.

It isn't "house" money, it's YOUR money at risk!! House money is the biggest myth that gets craps players in trouble. Just as much as endlessly pressing place bets. Shame on you.

Your demonstration and explanations were good but were NOT realistic because you were NOT shooting from a REAL craps table and also NOT from a REALISTIC position - short unrealistic rolls that weren't hitting an " alligator " part of the wall, and THAT'S why you were making a LOT of successful rolls WITHOUT sevening-out!
