Thank you so much for this. Of course I'll need to check the EULA for each asset pack I'm intending to use in other engines, but without this video I wouldn't know it's possible. I assumed the packs I bought were now useless because I fully switched to GameMaker. Now this is a game changer for a non-artist indie dev like me. Thanks heaps!
@@BazSupport RIP the people who paid extra money to use the Samurai Resource Pack outside RPG Maker back when that option was available 10 years ago. (Bet you didn't know that was once sold in their store as an option at one point.)
Yes you can, matter of fact a lot of FES and RMMV assets are included in PGMMV (under the Tkool Character sample). We have always been able to do this actually, but rpgmakerweb didn't fully understand the RTP terms of maker engines. Now it is more clear now that GGG publishes the makers.
Thank you very much for your tutorials. However, so far I haven't found any tutorial on how we can export the project to Windows or Android. I did some tests with an empty base project and the size of the exported project went over 1 gigabyte in size. Is this correct? Are exported projects that big? Is there any way to reduce the size of the game?
One question though. I know that Manga Maker Comipo! assets could be used in RPG Maker and vice versa. But not sure what happens with those assets now after this change. Can I use Comipo assets in GameMaker for example?
So if it’s not on the list then it is not covered under this more newer liberal terms. If it was useable in other maker engines, that still applies, just won’t have the ‘any engine’ use along with it.
I want to ask, just to be safe, would these terms also apply if I got any of the GGG products via a steam key from sites like Fanatical and such? Or is it not applicable in that instance?

Me too! I instantly started using PGM rtp in Godot! PGM comes with a huge load of rtp for both side and top view games 🎉
This is great news! Thanks for the quick review, Baz!
THANKS A LOT! MATE you take a lot of time for me!

So basically, I can use default rpg maker MV assets (not DLC or something they sell) and use it in Pixel game maker? I own both of those.

There is currently a bug in .6 version that is known. The old versions were able to export so hopefully this will be fixed soon
