How to make an easy Wet Rub with pantry ingredients

  • Hi welcome to Caribbeanj03. Thank you for coming into my kitchen with us. Today my sister will be preparing one of her simple wet rub can be used on pork, chicken, and seafood.
    Ingredients:
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    2 teaspoons dried rosemary
    2 teaspoons dried oregano
    1/2 teaspoon salt, optional, to your taste
    1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon onion powder
    1/2 teaspoon ground lemon zest
    2 teaspoons chicken base
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    Unsalted butter and oil
    Instructions: MAKE AHEAD
    Put all the dry ingredients into a spice grinder and coarse grind them.
    Pour all the liquids, including melted butter and oil (except the butter and oil when searing), into a jar, with a thight seal.
    Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a paste is formed.
    Refrigerate until ready to use.
    * You can make this wet rub ahead and refrigerate it until you are ready to use it.
    Rub can be used on pork, chicken, and seafood.
