- 1961 Leslie 120 organ speaker cabinet with its original 12" Jensen C12N, adapted for guitar. In this video, the guitar is a Squire Classic Vibe '50s Telecaster, plugged into a Fender Vaporizer tube amplifier. Guitarist: my dad, Arthur “Art” Noiles.

you should have a video explaining the conversion this is sweet!
Pardon my French, but this is a PERFECT fucking example of a complex solution to a problem. Spinning a speaker seems crazy now, we’d design a circuit, or an “app”, those guys GOT IT DONE. It sounds INCREDIBLE, and it’s a SPINNING. SPEAKER. Amazing
The speaker is not spinning. Sorry to break it to you.
It's a horn style speaker I believe which is facing towards the floor and spinning cone which as openings for the horn speaker to broadcast through. I've seen Leslie speakers which also point up to the spinner. Best situation is to have two for stereo sound or even four with the old quadraphonic wiring.
Everyone has an opinion and like yours that opinion betrays your utter ignorance on the subject. ;) .......no pedal "throws" the audio about a room like a rotating baffle ie; the Leslie 112 when your amp is on one side of the stage and the leslie is on the other. Its main power and application is in playing a live venue. Even more versatile with a variable speed conversion on the two speed switch
Now play it in the no volume full reverb setting through the Leslie, I’m super excited to hear the extreme drip in combination with the rotary sound!
That would be surf-sound-nirvana!
You can play any song by Bread now!
Not to mention Summer Madness by Kool and the gang.
Awesome sound
It's my dream to have one of these...
I've got one I'll sell you
@@LastChanceRiders what do you have(if you still have it ) and what's the cost ? I'm looking too !
Who needs a compact pedal when you can have a giant box that weighs 60lbs :P
I do
Freakin rad!!!
awesome!!!!!!!!
Awesome
OMG!!! NICE!!!!
Hey Josh, how did you wire this up? I’m looking to do the same to a Leslie 110A and love the approach you took
Did you figure it out? Looks like he wired the 12 volt 2 wires of a power cord right to the switch and then to the motors for power on and off, and wired the speaker to a speaker cab jack with normal speaker jack wiring. then a spdp switch (the electric box) to control the speed.
Hi Josh; nice! But, What speakers do you have in the fender vaporizer?. Thank and greetings
Nice.
I like it .like !
Does it djent though?
Kidding
any chance you could explain how you wired in the AC power and your switch? I'm trying to do the exact same thing as you have done here.
Hi Josh; nice! Please, What speakers do you have in the fender vaporizer?. Thank and greetings.
I might be wrong but I’m pretty darn sure the speaker in the Vaporizer wasn’t being used at all. In a Leslie 16/Vibratone, there is a crossover which allows you to use your amps speaker but not typically in these.
what will it sound like with high gain
🙏👍👏🙌
Looks like hell, but plays pretty well, lol
It's the first time I've actually understood how that vibrato sound was created, and honestly the vibrato sound is so dated now.
Truth be told I always thought those old Hammond organs had that vibrato because they just couldn't make them with a pure note with the tech back then. Like a poor man's instrument.
When a piano has a vibrato it's time to call in the tuner.
Hammond organs NEVER need tuning. Epic.
Dont think that's a 1961. They didn't use foam rotors then
It is stamped as such in several places inside.
@@JoshNoiles hmmmm, must have had the rotor replaced at one point
Lol "turn turn turn"... Get it?
