I totally agree! Watercolor pencils is an underrated medium! I personally sketch with Faber Castell graphite Aquarelle, which are by far the best pencils I've ever used and I've tried literally everything! I also got some Faber Castell Albrecht Durer and some Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz (because of their unique colors) like their Reddish Brown which such a nice color (people who love Red Chalk (Sanguine) will love this color too, because it's similar!! Paper works better than expected, actually looks really good! Thanks for sharing, you did a great job!!
I am so grateful for your videos using watercolor pencils. I have a set of 36 from Faber Castell and want to use them more but felt a little intimidated by them. Your tutorials are so helpful. I am taking some on my June trip to Ireland/Scotland and hope to put them to good use. Thank you.
it's great to watch you during the prozess. you are very considered where you put your lines and points of color. this sketchbook seems to be good for techniks with water.
Beautiful effects. Lovely graceful and translucent betta fish! Wow, I didn't know they made a palette specifically for colored pencils! For smooth washes, I always use the method of touching the damp brush to the pencil tip then brushing it across the paper. Works great!

Yaaay, you bought the palette 😊 Wonderful fish! I really like S&B Beta, but recently I wanted to try toned paper with gouache and watercolor pencils. So I bought Nova trio with black, grey and beige papers. And it’s thinner paper but not bad at all. Have you tried toned paper?
Wonderful tutorial and beautiful painting! It might be interesting to add a "clock" to show elapsed time..my sense is that you are very productive with watercolor pencils. I'm looking forward to where you take this next!

Thank you for another discussion on using pencils in interesting ways. Are you aware that Derwent has brought out 28 new Inktense pencils bringing them up to 100. I believe some of the colours are direct from the paint pan sets.
@@paintingandchocolate Apparently you can buy them direct from Derwent and receive a free tin if you buy 12 or 24. They are a bit to expensive for me once shipping to Australia is included.
Can't watercolour soak into the palette that the watercolour becomes contaminated with much use? I have heard that you need porcelain palettes instead of plastic ones. I have seen that the caran d'ache palette is made of plexiglas. But i don't know how plexiglas behaves.
