Upon rewatching this video Keith really wasn’t that negative. His only real complaints were the chicken being bad and the food being a little under salted. Multiple times he said things were good. And a couple times he even said things were excellent.
I watched this after other videos where he defended himself from the hate he got from his one. I didn't hear a lot of bad comments. He just didn't like the chicken or fries.
Agreed, I just rewatched it for the first time since it came out and he did like everything but the chicken. One of my favorites is the honey bbq chx strip sando so I was a bit disappointed, but whoever was working fry that day must just not have been a good cook.

As a VERY texan person, living in Houston, i am actually not suprised at all. Whataburger is litterally just another simple fast food burger chain. Texans are EXTREMELY biased when it comes to whataburger, and we like to think every thing texan, is the best. Lady Phoenix - dunno, usually im a general try guy fan, but something about the way he talks to the door dash driver and blames her for not getting there in time for breakfast.
Monica Velasquez my only experience with food delivery is Postmates, but shouldn’t the order be placed with the restaurant so they can prepare it and then the driver can pick it up? It’s a bit strange that the driver also has to be the one to order the food because that does open up the possibility of this situation happening here, which shouldn’t be allowed.

Starbucks employee here-Ive cataloged my best approximation of everything on the starbucks menu and I got 78 food items and 97 unique drinks (not including modifications except for the most popular because that would be infinite). Honestly every friend I have from Texas hypes tf out of everything there and I go to visit and go to their favorite food places and down towns and … they’re JUST OK. Texans you are literally blinded by nostalgia lol. Happens to the best of us. This Whataburger episode is a great example.
So where are you from? I’d love to come to your town and be disappointed
Yeah the nostalgia goggles can be stupid. We used to have things that were really worth going to, but over the years the quality had just been allowed to rot from neglect and a "business can do no wrong" mentality. But people don't want to admit their favorite places just aren't good anymore, so they dig in their heels.
You even see it in the quality of food in stores here. Used to be you could get decent fresh produce, now at even the overpriced stores it's bland and you get mold after a day. Meat quality has gone down drastically too. And workers are treated worse than ever so many places are staffed by people who don't care.
All of that means the quality of food and entertainment has tanked, meanwhile everything costs 2 to 3 times more than it did 10 years ago.
But try and point out that the local diner is serving half what they used to cooked half as well for three times the price and it's like you walked into church naked the way people look at you. So they keep buying crap and the places keep trucking.
The other thing nobody from here is willing to admit is that the things we have that are still good are usually good inconsistently.
Whataburger is a good example of that. If you get a good one in town it's amazing, but many of them aren't up to that quality. But people still act like the bad ones are good out of a weird sense of brand loyalty.
