Some of the fellas here in our province would forget about speaking in our dialect after just 5 years of being away and here Sandara's still rockin with her Tagalog. It's nice that she didn't forget speaking in Filipino. That's one of her points that endeared her to her Filipino fans more than a decade ago up until now.
Even though she was not my favorite member, I admired and respected Dara a lot and still do. She has always been such a hard worker. May you always be blessed with good health and strength Dara!

dara grew in the Philippines that's why she has a Filipino accent when she talks in English, she is also a pure Korean she just grew there. this is 1 of the things I love about her...she makes an effort to learn a few sentences of a certain language to connect to the fans..it sounds petty but it's really difficult esp when you have to remember the pronunciations and stuff..thanks for making this vid!

Mali ka!!! She was born in Korea! but they migrated in the Philippines because her dad's business in Korea was bankrupt... that's why they moved in the Phil. that's where she learned tagalog and english.
Actually, most korean students here in the Philippines know how to speak mandarin and japanese (even If they say they can't, they can still manage to create a sentence of it because they studied it back at korea). I know, I've been with them for quite some time. They actually focus on English subjects because that's they're goal. Philippine's second language is English, and it's a fact (imagine Indians, they're good at English. So do we). And studying English in they're country (south korea) is a hella expensive They got this kind of standards that if you know English language, you're well educated and they might be confused of you for being a high profiled person (which I find myself relating, because some Filipinos also think that way) Considering the fact that Dara studied here in the Philippines, the only thing I'm actually amazed is how good she is at speaking FILIPINO HOLY CRAP! some of my korean pals can also speak Filipino (can manage a decent sentence) But I find them stutter sometimes. Dara on the other hand is much more fluent. She also got that Filipino accent which I find amazing and also alarming. The fact that some koreans are much more better speaking Filipino than some actual Filipinos. Don't call me a hypocrite, I can also speak Filipino. not "Tagalog" cause that's just a dialect. I'd rather learn to speak the "warray" dialect because that's my ancestor's dialect.
I think the biggest difference between students at your school and Dara would be when they started living there. Dara went to Philippines at the age of 7~8 because of the financial crisis in Korea. Which is the perfect time to learn a new language. She lived there for more than 10 years and sje also had a time to work in the entertainment industry in Philippines to :) It's not a surprise that she is fluent in Filipino. Dara learnt Chinese and Japanese after she made her debut in Korea :3 YG did say that she's a really hard working girl which probably explains why she picked up other languages so quickly.
I think uve never been to visayas part. Because tagalog is widely spoken only in luzon area. Not to mention tagalog and filipino is two different things. Filipino is our national langguage. Tagalog is mainly part of it because manila(our capital city) is a "tagalog" city. I believe its quezon who implemented it because whenever he tries to speak publicly, hes mostly confused because of different kinds of dialect that philippines got. Filipino is like a philippine version of english langguage as an international langguage. Then filipino is our "national" langguage. If uve been to for example, cebu, then ull barely hear any tagalog theyre. Sometimes, they even prefer to know english instead of tagalog because they dont usually go to manila anyways
Hala. And besides, wikipedia? Srsly?
I have great respect for those who speak in more than 2 languages. I can speak English, of course, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu ( a little rusty now since I haven't spoken them in a long time, but that's where practice comes in!!), Spanish which I have taken for 4 years, and I am currently in my 2nd year in Mandarin, so yes, I can say plenty of simple sentence, and some complex ones. I really want to learn to speak Arabic and Japanese also.
i love korean artist...and also sandara park for respect in our filipino culture and languages...GODBLESS...you are so awesome...and very intelligent person...
All repeated comments say that Dara speaks English with a Filipino accent. Do not make international fans uncomfortable because everyone already knows that Dara is indeed learning
i know how to speak english arabic hebrow chinese some korean and a little japanese i went to china with my dad for his work and i had to learn how to speak and omg dara speaking chinese is the cutest thing eveeeer
Elijah Villanueva No I'm not joking if someone asks me what my nationality is I tell them I'm Filipino/Filipina and If they asks me what Language I speak I say Tagalog..Bisaya and Ilocano are the dialects
+KpopAddict KPopIsLife Tagalog is also a dialect but also the official language of the Philippines, if you were paying attention in class you would know that as Tagalog is referred to as the official language, it is called Filipino. If you're still not convinced, I'm not forcing you, let me rephrase that, I am not debating, this is just a peaceful comment among the chaos that is the internet.
'Wow! She's smart! She doesn't just say "hellO", "good evening" and "thank you", but she can actually converse in all these 5 languages. I'm impressed.
She is really talented pinabayaan lang kasi ng ABS CBN e but she's lucky enough to find her own way to success. Until now she's very humble, keep up the good works Dara we miss u so much back here in the Philippines.
That time, her contract ended with star magic and wasnt offered for a contract renewal. ABS-CBN didnt even offered her pojects. with that, hindi ba sya napabayaan ng ABS? That's why she had no choice but to go back to Korea (ng biglaan) with her family bec as the breadwinner, she had to work for them. Luckily, kilala na sya ng YG Entertainment nun kaya malaki talaga oppprtunity nya sa Korea (by YG's offer, she was trained there nung boom pa yung career nya dito sa Philippines that's why back then, she went to Korea for 6 months then came back here to continue her projects after). Pero kahit ang dami nyang naging problema dito, yung love nya for Philippines' superb. Im really proud of her. Hardwork well-paid off talaga. Look at her now.. she's that blessed. Ps. Chill lang. easyhan mo lang ate. Hahaha
milcah joy dela cruz lol? Wag gawa kwemnto :)
Sorry, but i'm not used to making up stories. In the first place, why would even I? Lol. I just stated the facts. Can you tell me what part of my story's "made up"? Id be more willing to correct it. :)
i feel like us pinoys should stop calling her pambasang krung krung. it’s belittling and offensive but since she’s a nice lady, she just shrugs her shoulder cause she knows that she’s way more than that. she went far beyond that krung krung girl we named her from the past, she now a KPOP icon, an actress, and this video shows how smart she is, even a genius for being multilingual.. it’s time to give her that due respect she truly deserves. we love you Sandara Park. Mabuhay ka! 🇵🇭

Srsly?
aw she's so intelligent.
jamthoughts The average Finnish person knows 4 languages, it's just a matter of trying.
Dara is very fluent.i really love her

She is so smart and pretty. AND ASIAN. THE PERFECT GIRL. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

we love you dara!
shes the spokeperson of 2ne1 thats why she knew a lot languages which is amazing because learning languages is hard. love love dara so much :)
I miss watching her in Filipino movies! I hope she gets a chance to star in one again!
i love korean artist...and also sandara park for respect in our filipino culture and languages...GODBLESS...you are so awesome...and very intelligent person...
I really do lov her because of very respectful personality.
This encourages me more to definitely learn how to fluently speak and write in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
Dara is so fantastic! I envy her of being a multilengual! love u dara! 😘 hope I can learn Korean as well... 😸
She is so fking goals. I didn't know she stayed in the Philippines, So when i heard her speak tagalog my heart instantly melted.
All repeated comments say that Dara speaks English with a Filipino accent. Do not make international fans uncomfortable because everyone already knows that Dara is indeed learning
I'm from Malaysia. Growing with Philippines pinoy. I don't find any wrong of it.
i know how to speak english arabic hebrow chinese some korean and a little japanese
i went to china with my dad for his work and i had to learn how to speak and omg dara speaking chinese is the cutest thing eveeeer
Tagalog is a dialect. Filipino is the language. :)
Which are the same
Tagalog is the language filipino is the nationality..
+Rin Ts (りん /린) Are you guys joking?
I love how her English has more of a Filipino accent than a Korean one xD
I never knew that Sandara can speak 5 languages, wow i am impressed ...
Why do I love it when she speaks Filipino so much?! She's too cute!
she's amazing..
shes really amazing , talented and have a good heart..
'Wow! She's smart! She doesn't just say "hellO", "good evening" and "thank you", but she can actually converse in all these 5 languages. I'm impressed.
she's amazing!

Youre d best sandara
Talented girl❤💓💗😍😘🥰
She is really talented pinabayaan lang kasi ng ABS CBN e but she's lucky enough to find her own way to success. Until now she's very humble, keep up the good works Dara we miss u so much back here in the Philippines.
+Morton Bulos pinabayaan? Tanga ampota choice niya yun bobo. Choice niyang pumuntang korea.
i can speak tagalog English Arabic and Korean only. Haha sandara is so amazing. Walang pagbabago.
Beautiful pretty Genius and Happy Adopted Dear Korean Princess of the Philippines...
Nani! Dara es intelligente, I'm crushing on her ng sobra-sobra ngayon!
i feel like us pinoys should stop calling her pambasang krung krung. it’s belittling and offensive but since she’s a nice lady, she just shrugs her shoulder cause she knows that she’s way more than that. she went far beyond that krung krung girl we named her from the past, she now a KPOP icon, an actress, and this video shows how smart she is, even a genius for being multilingual.. it’s time to give her that due respect she truly deserves. we love you Sandara Park. Mabuhay ka! 🇵🇭
She is so adorable when she talks English

+Winnie Simon She is Korean, was born in Korea of both Korean parents. But she grew up in the Philippines 😊
when they are all similar and commonly spoken around you it's not really particularly interesting or impressive.
