It comes with both a 3" core for industrial tape and a 1" core for office tape to give you the flexibility of both worlds.
With 1" core, you can dispense regular Scotch tape, invisible tape, washi tape, and other clear or matte gift wrapping tapes with 1" ID (tape).
The 3"D core is catered to heat resistant sublimation tape for printing, Kapton tape for electronic assembly, and other industrial tapes with 2 - 4mil thickness.
Generally, tape thickness 2 - 4 mil (1/1000 in.) is fine.
This tape dispenser can't cut through masking tape, duct tape, double-sided tape, any tape with width over 1.5", kraft tape, carpet tape, dry erase tape for whiteboard, masking tape.
The standard dispensing length is 1.5" and this length can't be adjusted or changed with a different tape.
Both cores can take multiple tapes but their total width can not exceed 1.5".
