The stars of the show for me this year in SoCal 9b are Arabian Night, Kelvin Floodlight, and Linda’s Baby. My Wizard of Oz is starting to bloom too. I’ve been battling 100+ temps with shade cloth. It’s a challenge.
I water weekly or twice weekly through October/Nov and then it doesn’t get anything once it gets cold or, ie when I cover with frost cloth inside the tunnel. Zone 5.
Where did you buy Wizard of Oz? I love it so much! I haven't grown dahlias successful (yet) 😢. I have trouble with them. I grew Lisianthus for the 1st time successfully but I think Dahlias are supposed to be easier?? IdK 😅 Golden Hour perfectly describes your backdrop. Your dahlias are Gorgeous.
I bought dahlia tubers from a local farmer and have been storing and keeping them since. I think dahlias are easier if you don’t count diggers tubers at the end of the season!
😊
Beautiful!

Nice video - you do a great job of explaining things.

Whew, 9b, you are warm! The weather seems to always be a challenge lately. I don’t have Kelvin - will look into that one!
An unrelated question here. How often do you water your hoop house over the winter?
