To me UB40 is all of them!
Alis voice is synonymous with what we recognise vocally, however in my personal opinion having been there from the start they all played an integral part as that was the collective agreement they all agreed upon from the start. Brian Travers also wrote sone major memorable lyrics and support for some tracks were completed by other members. I'm still a huge fan just hoped they're differences would have resolved for the sake of they're loyal fans . I wish them all well and continued success! X🙏🕯😢❤👏

UB40 were my childhood in a nutshell. Thank you Jonathan for introducing them to me in the early 90s on cassette copied off a record 😉. My first ever concert i attended was UB40 in 1994 at Greenpoint stadium, Cape Town. I was into them already, but after that concert i was hooked 😊

Always loved Ali's voice of course but his attitude to the band he chose to leave sucks,it's not like they kicked him out he left them high and dry and now sends them digs he thinks he is the he and end all of this band when it's their songs and overal sound which granted is some what poorer for losing him but Ali is musically much poorer for not being with them,he should stop his digs and ideally cultivate some humility day sorry and ask to come back
