I like it a heck of a lot and I can't wait to grab one for my Heresy army. I think it looks great and I can't believe they went so far as to build those bulkhead hatches into the interior where nobody will ever see them without an endoscope. That's some dedication to a cause that I can really respect. Amazing detail on that nose drill as well. My friends who are into Blood Angels are over the moon at a Deep Striking Fast Attack choice that can take Assault Cannon upgrades for their Day of Revelation RoW.
The quality of its cast was amazing. Id love one of these, but i think the dracosan is a much safer bet for auxilia even with an axe retinue. Thank you for your modelreview of that by the way, my first one was flawless save for the pitting on the back part of the upper hull, but i was already prepared for that thanks to you and your channel! Thanks man! Keep it up, i always try to plug your channel when discussing forgeworld! ;)
Hordak You’re most welcome mate and I much appreciate your support 👍🏻 I think I’d say a Dracosan is a safer bet for just about anything, especially with a demolisher cannon and flare shield ;) Seriously though, I fancied this model for two main reasons, firstly it just look so cool and reminds me of the original Termite and secondly it can work across all my heresy era forces, including the militia. I think that makes it a unique as most vehicles are limited to one ot two forces.
Hello, sir- you were right the first time- it wasn’t Yoshimitsu, it was Raiden (sp?)- I remember when I first saw Raiden in “Mortal Kombat” and thought, “oh wow, that guy with the hat and the lightning was from “Big Trouble in Little China”! Yoshimitsu was from “Tekken”, I think- I’m not a player of video games. I believe Yoshimitsu was a robotic or cybernetic ninja, oddly enough- good call on the drill head resembling Raiden’s hat, though! Thanks for the video, and for sharing that very cool model! =][=
Awesome model, dont know why i love it. But it hit a sweet spot in my heart😍 exelent video mate😉 and i hope everything goes well with you, my thoughts are with you ( yeah, i know how that sound but I have been alot in hospital so I know the feeling you can get) cheers from Norway and all my resin is saying hi😆
I’m with you, I just love the design, who cares if is practical on the battlefield? 😆 The scan went well... not had an MRI before and the experience I’d describe as being akin to having a short nap listening to the radio inside a giant noisy doughnut, I kid you not that I fell asleep. Get my results next week on Wednesday at which point I will know if my knee requires surgery.
Picked one up at Warhammer world yesterday. I was watching your vid and examining mine at the same time. Really impressed with the cast I’ve been dry fitting it and it goes together beautifully. Thought you might be interested that mine was checked on 30/03/18 so you may well have one of the first produced.
Cool mate and that’s good to hear your kit is a good one! I’ve dry fitted the four hull sections together so far and am very impressed with the fit - pretty much perfect. Also on the packing date someone else mentioned that they sold these on limited release at Adepticon so I wonder if mine had been there and not sold? The box was a bit battered so it could have had a trip to the states?
leakycheese a trip to the warp! Your lucky it’s only the box that’s a bit battered. Mine went together really well it’s in my case waiting to be tested against the Salamanders tonight in our clubs HH league.
Hope all is well Mr. Cheese, as for the termite I can see this being very popular as an alternitive to droppods while allowing legions to retain their unique R.O.Ws
Thanks mate, let’s hope so. I agree 100% on using this in the game, for example it is perfect to fill the single fast attack slot the Iron Hands get with Head of The Gorgon.
Wasn't this vehicle from the end of Disney's The Incredibles with The Underminer ? on a more serious note does this have 40K Space Marine rules for digging under obstacles and re-appearing on the other side ?
Dave Dogge I’m beginning to find out this has been in all sorts of kids entertainment 😆 Rules wise once it’s above ground it can’t go underground again during the battle.
Cedars A dozen of their finest plasma gunners? Not sure on the cost of this yet for the model size... I’ll share some thoughts on that in the final review. If you are after points per pound or dollar then yes I agree it’s expensive.
I just checked the rules, just to be sure of who can ride in it. It turns out, Primaris Marines aren't allowed in. Come on, GW, this madness has to stop!
The Primaris continue to be held in their own little special gated community. Just wait for the mole though, that at least should be able to carry Terminators 😎
I just can't take Space Marines seriously at the moment. I want to put together a small army, but the only way I can see to do it and not go mad is to do a small Fallen force. If I do it right, I can also use them in 30k. But, I'm still dead set on building a Homo Rotundus force, and mining vehicles like this will fit the bill perfectly. Actually, that's going to rock!
Dantioch No expense is spared on this channel’s production effects! Yes, Medusan Immortals in this would rock* and you have space for an attached character as well. *puns
leakycheese my thoughts exactly, seige specialists that they are - they've already got the small drill. The problem with souping up, as it were, is that only Astartes can ride in the drill; I really was hoping on a delivery mechanism for thee Bulgryns and a Ministirum priest.
Well I think restricting it to the space marines is a shame. I think its should be open to mechanicus and guard in the 2003 guard codex there was even a deep strike mechanic that mentioned "imperial tunnelling vehicles" This aside the breaching tremor rule seems a bit broken, auto mortal wounding any unit within 12" on arrival effectively means if I am reading it right that you snipe out characters especially of you brought multiple drills, and also somehow damage flyers. I'm not totally against it as a mechanic but I think it should need a dice roll of some kind. I can just see scenarios where three turn up in front of a guard gun line or similar auto kill the platoon commanders and other buffing units and take three guys out of each squad even before rolling a dice.
Also, why cant it take primaris? and despite it not being able to take jump packs or terminators it does seem to be able to take centurions and potentially 12 of them... I know that is just a rules oversight (i hope) but FW seem to be getting very poor at writing rules and correcting them when they do these days..
Good points all! Compared to the heresy version the 8th surfacing rule is far more deadly in 95% of the situations you might imagine and yes, mortal wound weapons need to be restricted as they are game breaking... In terms of Primaris it's the same nonsense as with the Repulsor and other marine transports. The Primaris can only go in the Repulsor, period. I made a video calling the bull out on that which has over 30K views so lot's of people feel the same way.
Yeah, I completely agree with that video. I wish FW would up their game with the 8th edition rule set as I really have stopped buying anything from them now and I used to get a fair bit. I would have had three of the termites on release day if I could have put skitarii in them haha. Anyway, moan over and thanks for the great content :)
Came for the review, stayed for the sound effects.
Cheers mate 👍🏻 What does main man Rogal think about this device?
_Grumbles about the admech, mumps and Fires of Cyraxus_
Magos I see the fleshy part of your body is letting down as well as the reach of Forge World's rules coverage....
Magos Cool kit a shame my admech forces isn't getting one because it doesn't know how to use one.
are you sure about that ;))
Spartan I'll be damned might have to pick one up now. Price is steep though and wish it was still in the free shipping period.
I like it a heck of a lot and I can't wait to grab one for my Heresy army. Thank you Mr. Cheese! it looks neat!
Hopefully......we can watch some build vids of it.....? :-)
Cheers!

You're most welcome my friend and thank you for sharing your knowledge of wicker hat wearing characters.
This should come in handy for drilling your barrels :P
I knew the deeper reason to why I wanted this model!

A unique battle taxi, I remember this from the heady days of the Space Marnie (epic 40k) game, the Mole was bigger.

Very nice looking kit, great to catch up at Salute too
Indeed it is and it was good to say hello (even if my daughter was giving us the evils for talking too long!)
Be keen to see this built up.
Me too! It's having it bath at the moment but I'll be working on it soon.
7:28 i see that you already have one of you're doors attached, very well done
Good review and hopefully nothing too serious with the mri scan
One vote for “Big Trouble in Little China” hat.
Longhunter It’s leading at the moment with 1 vote 😆
the underminer
Rogal Dorn Not sure that you're boys are into this sort of thing. I hear Perty is, could be time for armoured foundations!
Hope all is well Mr. Cheese, as for the termite I can see this being very popular as an alternitive to droppods while allowing legions to retain their unique R.O.Ws

Truly the opposite of Battletech where Death comes from below rather than death from above!
Awesome look fella
Very nice review as always :) Would be interesting to see you build it on video too ;)
Thank you Sir! I’ll do at least one video on assembling it, I might even do a time lapse assembly.
neat stuff poart two the paiting will see
Dangit now I like this model too!

LC ,id like to see a pic or 2 of it completed with a nice PJ plz.
Really cool model :), a bit expensive but this give me a great idea for a display model with some kriegs guardsmen :)
Cedars A dozen of their finest plasma gunners?
Not sure on the cost of this yet for the model size... I’ll share some thoughts on that in the final review. If you are after points per pound or dollar then yes I agree it’s expensive.
Looking forward to hearing your thought in the final review :)

*puns
Looks straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon haha.
Thunderbirds like I said dude, Thunderbirds!
Be sure to show a Kharon comparison in the eventual review
Imperator Crispico Good idea, will do 👍🏻
...Or subterranean Imperial Guardsmen. That's a real shame, as we have very few deepstrikable units.
Mikey R I’d have thought those Krigers should be able to have one at least? If not, how about some 8th Ed Imperial soup?
leakycheese my thoughts exactly, seige specialists that they are - they've already got the small drill.
The problem with souping up, as it were, is that only Astartes can ride in the drill; I really was hoping on a delivery mechanism for thee Bulgryns and a Ministirum priest.
Maybe just for fun ill build a cart on FW to equal the cost of a MRI in the US.
That is funny way to address an issue that isn’t funny!
leakycheese I got 3k and just stopped.
Underfist go!
Paladin Demo That sounds painful!
leakycheese it's the grim adventures spin-off with the popular side characters.
Tärrax
This name of this vehicle is yet another thing to go on the Forge World to FAQ list 😆
Keep away from Heavens
Widow Peak Death from below!
its a lovely model, real shame about the rules :/
Yes, model is lovely, what issue do you see in the rules?
