Adorable! I made some out of dollar tree dish towels and filled with rice, then took twine and ran it up and down to give the pumpkin its ridges, then added a cinnamon stick for stem. Came out nicer than I expected! Lol
Those colors are so rich! The purple is so pretty. I have seen maple leaves that turn a deep purple like that in the fall. Thank you, Amber, for sharing you talent and creativity with your followers. We love you!
Love the Velvet !!! Makes beautiful pumpkins.... I don't really like the moss but to each his own... I think they would be beautiful pulled up closer to the stem and add some silk leaves !! Thanks for the tutorial !!!
I have to say I LOVE ALL of your videos..!!! They are so helpful. I love the way you talk as well. You make everything you make look so easy to do..So glad I found your videos. I have chemo brain and I am praying that I don't lose this place..!!
I'm striking out at every DT for the velvet pumpkins, so thank you for sharing. I may have to resort to making my own. At least, like you said, I can get the colors I want.
Very pretty! I made one around a toilet paper last year and made the stems out of clay! I love your purple or burgundy pumpkin. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas and video 🌻🦋🌻🦋🌻🍂
Oh miss amber, these r great looking, n I'm so appreciative of your explanations in this n all of your vids. I do so thank you for sharing about the poly file. Tyfs, n take care, beautiful fabric too
Kimberly Holland, that's a great idea. I love beads so much, although I'm not doing much with them right now. Sometimes I just purchase them for inspiration.
Amber, love these pumpkins. I really like the colors you chose. I don't have any velvet but I still wanted to make some pumpkins with what I had on hand. So I just went through my closet and found some old clothes I don't wear anymore (and tbat I was going to donate but never got around to it) and I'm going to use that to make my pumpkins. Thanks fur the tip on using a dinner plate to use as a guide for cutting out your circle.
I to like different colors. Each room of my house is a different color. I aiways choose thing that I like. Often been told that I seen ahead of trends. Love watching ur videos. Thank do coming back on utube
Good job , Amber! I made these velvet pumpkins last year from HL fabric, but only bought a 1/3 of a yard of teal, green, pink and gold. I had several different sizes and made paper clay stems and painted them to compliment the pumpkin colors. Waiting for the paper clay to dry was the hardest part. And I hated when my running stitches broke from pulling too hard, especially on the largest sizes ones. TFS
I like to use upholstery thread so that it will not break. These were huge sellers for me last year. People love things that are not traditional colors.
@@ThisSouthernGirlCan These are so cute! I know that you mentioned, if you want to make and sell these, figuring your cost to know how to price the pumpkins but that doesn't account for time invested and profit. Can you share how much you are able to sell the different sizes for? And where do you sell them?
I don't know what kind of needle Amber used, but I know she used upholstery thread when I posted I hated when my running stitches broke because of pulling to hard. I have just used regular sewing thread.
coachgladys, I don't know what type needle, but I know Amber used upholstery thread when I posted how I hate when my running stitches break from pulling to hard.
My mom likes to call em...punkins lol She's silly. These turned out a hell of a lot better than the store bought ones. I'm not all surprised. Awesome as always. :)
That base is just like making the quilting yo-yos. I remember making a vest out of yo-yos and helping my grandmother making them for her quilts. The only thing I would have done differently would be was to fold over the edge of the fabric about a 1/4 " then continue to stitch around the entire circle (for a finished edge). Thanks for sharing.
Purrrty! I use the poly fill for mine then did twine to crease the indention of my pumpkins. tried to upload a picture for you to see but, wouldn't allow :( BTW, I have the same color bowls with matching plates, and, coffee mugs as you. Great taste thinks alike :-)

@@ThisSouthernGirlCan Is upholstery thread available at Walmart or Michaels? Otherwise, it will be a trip to HL.

Crushed velvet! Have seen some gorgeous Christmas bedspread(s) of, or imagine Dreams?
For those that afraid of bugs, they can put their rice or beans in a latex balloon or bundle them up in plastic wrap and secure with tape or string.
Love love love these!! TFS and as always a great video. 🌸💕🌸
Absolutely love these! Thank you for sharing this! 😍
Beautiful!
GREAT JOB. I LIKE IT.
Nice alternate ideas for the stem. Try hobby lobby for the cheaper crushed velvet type fabric. Way cheaper. Like 6 bucks a yard.
After using coupons and rewards points from Joannes, it was relatively inexpensive.

Thank you so much! 💜
Think your pumpkins look classy!
Awesomeness💕💎🍷
Is the top of the stem really rough, or do you smooth it somehow?
I sanded it just a bit with an emery board
I love it!!!!😍👍
😍😍😍😍
LIKE AND THUMBS UP!
Joann’s ALWAYS has a 40% coupon.
And they had a 50% off a cut of fabric coupon today, plus I had $10 rewards cash.

There would be no reason for me to use a filter. Same camera, same mic, same video editing program. Possibly an issue with your speakers.
