There are a few variations in this video of Seisan, from the time when I studied Isshin Ryu, back in ‘72. This was in the Cleveland, Ohio area and named ‘Sei Dojo’. Those were the days!
Let’s see ya in a real fight. Let’s see all this practice in live action, not a setup fight but a real fight. This honestly looks more like a dance than some kinda fighting skill. I’m not a fighter so this is just an observation and an opinion.
@@nesking3115 Did ya miss the part where I said I’m not a fighter? So I can’t comment on a public video because I’m not? The only way to practice what your taught is sparring or real fights, otherwise it is just an artist performing. Which are you?
@@marllboroman1461 it is meant to teach you muscle memory and not use it all in one fight it is supposed to help you if you are in a certain place and you can use the a move in the kata so you are right you are not going to use all of this in one fight
Thank you Grandmastwr

This video tutorial is the one my Sensei recommended for practice at home. Thank you Sensei Reeves!
Thank you very much.
You are welcome!
It looks a littlw diffetent than the way that I learned it but for the most part it is spot on.
I agree. I was a student back in ‘72. I loved the system! I took a few other systems but, the Isshin Ryu system IS the best!
"Double shuto blocking two kicks", ehm, nobody would ever do that in reality but nevermind...
Wow so many blocks. You just beat up 20 or more opponents. Super hero!
Absolutely terrible!
Everything is in threes. That's one of the first things you realize learning Seisan.
Dear Coach Sensei. Why is the Kata called "13 Step". There's really "30 Step" thx
Sensei Reeves. Do you have any UA-cam kata demonstrations for Kata #9 - Bo and Kata #10 Sai? Thank you.- Paul

I have been told that it can either dislocate the leg at the knee, or break the ankle.
