Don't normally agree on everything Dan but you are so spot on here. The negativity of the fan base is really annoying, we are in a cup final and people are talking about rather stay up. We don't have to choose do we both are in OUR hands. Some of these fans saying dc about the cup has been spoilt. How about fans like me who have seen go Wembley like 10 times but win once? Football is dead if you don't want to win trophies. The major thing that worries me is a lot of people who feel like this are going Sunday. If we go 1-0 down they will soon be booing. The premier league has been ruined by sky and VAR.
CH 2016 I think its just some frustration because of the gulf between our performances in this cup and the league, but its misleading. Yes we've played weakened Prem sides in Liverpool, Brighton, Wolves in this years Carabao. But we also played two legs against a close to full strength Leicester, who sit 3rd and are ex champions. It has been a distraction, welcome or not remains to be seen.
Yes Man City have won this competition in the last two seasons. And they also hammered us early this season and Watford in the FA Cup final last year!
But we have players who also know Wembley and what its like to win and lose there in recent years. No fear, no pressure, pull a shock out the bag when they least expect it!! City have genius players, but some are getting older. And they've just travelled to a high pressure game against RM.
I'm proud we got to final. How many years and how much money did it take Randy Lerner to achieve this? 4/5 years and over £100 million? I just hope the players don't regret anything at the end +don't let the match pass them by. When you get the ball in these games you've got to make it count because you might not get another opportunity. Norwich showed us City can be tested earlier this season. Who knows but I will enjoy it and get behind them on Sunday and for the rest of the season!! UTV!!!

Apologies in advance to whoever is near me but I will be singing and supporting our team the whole 90 and then some (assuming my voice lasts, late kick offs mean a lot of hours singing before the game too).

CH 2016 I heard it last year at wembley, I had two blokes next to me moaning how shit el ghazi was, told them to stop slagging him off and then he scored 5mins later. Too many fans are so scared of losing that they self sabotage their own team, it’s delusional. If you are going to Wembley, sing your absolute heart out or don’t bother going. Up the fucking villa

I was sort of hoping O'Hare might get recalled from Coventry after we beat Leicester just for that cup final youth impact (plus I still expect him to star for Villa soon so good experience regardless) but can't have everything eh?

Cannot see anything other than a heavy defeat against Man city on sunday, the team apart from our Captain have NO passion NO pride and NO desire to win at all, the last 4 games we have played against Man City we have let in 17 goals and scored once, would love to see louie barry have a game instead of El Ghazi or Trez, certain players just do not seem interested at all.

Baston is available I think, but I could see Vasiliev or Barry named on the bench. If McGinn only started back on grass this week, its a risk. Especially if we can get him close to full fitness in a few weeks time. Get Nakamba on a man marking job with KDB or Foden if he comes on. 4-4-1-1. Jack+ Samatta as the 1-1 and Trez + El Ghazi down the wings when in possession. Narrow midfield otherwise and the two up top need to press hard when the ball comes into our half and be behind the ball.
If Norwich can beat them, they can be got at. Mendy, Fernandinho, Otemendi have some weaknesses. They've also got Aguero, D.Silva, Sterling, G.Jesus, Mahrez, Bernardo Silva🙅😞
My more than optimistic prediction is Villa on penalties, Nyland saves one, Jack gets the winner.

I fear we will get battered unfortunately. The Villa view is ending and our remaining fixtures look awful too so everything is going well 😕 At least our owners have FFP under control and the club in a healthy position finally so hopefully if the worst happens we can bounce back much stronger.

Francis C, as a season ticket holder I always support the lads home & away wholeheartedly, I’m allowed my opinion just the same as anyone else I just can’t for the life of me see how we win this game with a mid table championship defence at best & that’s including Mings that can’t defend for love nor money that’ll be going up against the likes of Aguero, Sterling, De Bruyne, both Silva’s Marhrez etc in a major final at Wembley.
I just hope it’s not another Watford fa cup scenario, I hope to god I’m wrong but I just don’t see it having said that I’ll support the lads 100%.
