Now with Kingda Ka gone. There are no operating roller coasters that has a structural height of 400ft. Now Red Force is now the current tallest full circuit operating roller coaster standing at just 367ft. This is the first time in history the roller coaster height record was decreased. I’m so glad I got my final rides on this. I figured this ride existed in 2015 and I chickened ever since. I got my first ride on this in 2022 and it quickly became my favorite coaster. R.I.P Kingda Ka. Long Live The King!👑👑🐅🐅
I've lived under an hour from Great Adventure my entire life. And while I've been in the coaster space for "lore" reasons since the beginning of high school, I've only really started to push myself to ride some of the large (non kiddie) ones (the biggest I've done is still a B&M Floorless less than 150 feet tall, before that it was a 108 ft woodie) but my sister always sung high praise of Ka. I figured that the next time I went to the park, I might push myself on to Nitro, and after that, Ka. I didn't realize the privilege I had, the tallest coaster in the world at my home park. One of the only hydraulic launchers left. And now, I'll never get to ride it. Godspeed you magnificent piece of art, beautiful machine, mechanical nightmare. Long live the king.
such an amazing coaster....I had tears in my eyes when I found it was officially closed, my trip to GA was not complete if I didn't get to ride KA - great video......LONG LIVE THE KING!!
400 foot launch coasters hate me man. Every time I went to cedar point, top thrill was closed. And last year I got to ride kingda ka, AND JUST A YEAR LATER IT CLOSES Long live the king.
Riding the front seat, in the dark, with fog & a rollback was the best….RIP Kingda Ka. At least I can still ride it in first person, front seat POV in Planet Coaster on PC via Steam Workshop
RIP Kingda Ka you will always be rememberd. You were always my dream to ride. However, I guess now, that will never become true. However, I did ride this coaster in my dreams. Farewell Kingda Ka 2005-2024
@@The-Coaster-Craze thanks! Yes is def will! Its sad to see it go, but hey, it just means its the new era of coasters. No wars, but peaceful times. Peaceful times where we realized, we just want to enjoy the ride. Kingda Ka taught us to be happy with what we have, for as long as we have it!
Very well thought out memorial video. Loved this ride and I can’t believe it’s gone, but it was one of the best coasters on Earth for years. Long love the king.
I live far away from new jersey and never got to take a trip to ride Kingda Ka. The sad part is I finally have a good enough job where I could have finally made the trip next summer. IF they would have made an announcement and given the ride the proper sendoff it deserves.
I’m really happy and so is my friend because last year I brought him to great adventure and he had gotten over his fear of roller coasters that day. Me and him are glad because if I hadn’t brought him he would have never gotten around to going on kingda ka. R.I.P. to the king 2005-2025 ❤
What in their freaking minds were they thinking with removing an attraction so iconic? Have the folks running Six Flags been replaced by gosh darn morons?🤦🤦🤦
@@JordanBelcher-r8j it was reportedly very expensive to operate. On top of the newly formed Six Flags Entertainment Company’s CEO having to deal with its sister coaster a few years back. A coaster which he called his “biggest mistake”.

top thrill 2 still exists, but what you mean is fully operating at this moment?
@newktz993 top thrill 2 is sbno until 2025.so red force is the tallest currently operating roller coaste for now.
Never had a chance to take a spin, but this is a valiant tribute. For that, many of us thank you.

To be fair....
It was properly retired...
Not a re imagined "lawn ornament"
If it was “properly” retired it would’ve at least gotten a proper announcement before they shut it down.
