Been a fan for over 10 years, White Lies keep producing the goods with each and every album. Early stuff had a real feel of Julian Cope/ Teardrop Explodes, and there's always been an 80s feel to some of the stuff, a good 80s feel BTW! Something energetic about this track, like a big Duran Duran song , with a touch of Bowie. It's fabulous.
White Lies. I truly am so proud to call myself a fan and find you making another glorious album yet again. Been here since The Ritual and as much I like the older you, I'm amazed to also find how strong you have grown with music and style. You really do know what to do and please never stop.

White Lies never fails to satisfy. They're one of the rare bands that don't change their sound and style in order to pursue more popularity. So anytime I see a new single or album from them, I know I'm in for a treat.
@@father042 I discovered White Lies in 2013 when I played Forza Horizon 1 (that game had such awesome music)... Farewell to the Fairground was great, but I never really actually became a real fan of the band until years later when Friends released. That's the perfect album to me. Five was pretty great but not nearly as strong for me, and I do love the 3 new singles we've gotten so far. I've never really gone back too much to the early stuff, though. I tried a couple times and I just wasn't "feeling" it. I'm not sure if Friends marked some sort of evolution or big shift for them, but I fucking love where they've come starting at that point! As a young kid I grew up on my dad's classic rock, and even he liked a lot of the pop-rock stuff in Forza Horizon 1 (he doesn't like modern music that much, but that soundtrack was played often in the car). But my point is, Horizon 1 really marked a shift for me: modern music I loved for the first time-- an evolution of classic rock into a modern sense. White Lies was a small part of that back then, but the band has come front and center since 2016, and I'm just so happy that they exist. I'm so happy Forza Horizon 1 existed, to push me to the modern music I love nowadays!
