Great video! I love my Taser DT. I bought it mainly for the security features, but there are other features I use as well. I haven't changed my tire size, but thanks for showing the process. I have a 21 Ram Rebel.
Thank ypu. The security feature is pretty amazing. If you’re interested in learning more about he Tazer in general and how it was developed I highly recommend this episode: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-truck-show-podcast/id1357401021?i=1000577637267
@@venomrebel2020 Thanks! I will check it out. Have you found an easy way to change the oil filter without making a big mess? If not, check out the Oil Udder. It's the saving grace for 5.7L owners.
Hi, I have a 2022 Ram limited. I am considering putting a 5-inch Rough Country lift kit on it and also putting on 22 Fuel wheels with 35 tires. I read in forums, video comments from owners of these trucks that when making these changes they have problems with the parking sensors or rather that I would have to sacrifice the functions of the parking sensors, also the tire pressure sensors. I must say that these are forums from 1 or 2 years ago and I may be reading outdated information. I would like to be able to do everything I mentioned to my truck but without sacrificing any of its factory functions. Can you do all that and correct parameters with the Tazer DT without losing its factory functions?
Taser does not tune or adjust parking sensors as there should be an on/off switch in your cab. If you have a problem with parking sensors after lifting your vehicle, which I don’t think you’ll encounter, then it’s a question of orientation, and I don’t know of a “fix” to address it. Try checking the 5th Gen forums. Seems to be pretty positive over there.
Taser can eliminate/tune TPMS but the only reason you would have an issue is if you don’t swap the factory ones to your new wheel/tires setup. I did that and they work great.
@venomrebel2020 I am considering getting one. The Ramboxes are amazing to me, and no other truck has anything close. But I've encountered so many videos and comments on the unreliability of these trucks, the window leakage, cam ticking etc. Everyone agrees looks, ride feel and interior quality are top-tier but overall reliability is shite. Not sure anymore. Leaning towards Japanese trucks but those Ramboxes 🤤
I have a lift and 35s. Speedometer is correct, but the cruise and navigation speed is still showing slower than the correct speed. Any clue on how those 2 might be able to be corrected? No one seems to know. 2020 Rebel.
@@venomrebel2020 That's a good question. The shop that did the lift did it. I know they pulled something from the interior so perhaps some kind of manual calibration, but both the digital display and analog speedo are correct and adjusted for the larger tires. The cruise wasn't adjusted. So if I set the cruise at 60 for example, the speedometer shows 63 or 64, which is the correct speed. It's not a big deal, but I wish they were synced up. The shop doesn't know. Perhaps I should have done this a different way.
@@mvarner46540 I have been thinking about this. If you chose to go a different way (i.e. Tazer, RoughCounty, AlphaOBD, etc.) you would probably have to have everything set back the way it was... which is hard to do if you're not sure what they did. I can't find any threads on this. Maybe it's worth calling the shop to see what they did so you may know how to undo it?
@@venomrebel2020 thank you for your help. Might be having the shop undo it and then buy a Tazer DT and follow your instructions. Once you set new tire size and do the system reboot and 2 sleep cycles do you just leave the Tazer DT plugged in? Or do you unplug it and plug those 2 plugs back in the original locations?
Question: I just purchased and installed this weekend, primary reason was increase in tire and wheel size. That part worked fine. I tried to add the option where backup camera turns on when signaling for a lane change - this did not work. Any tips? Has anyone had luck with this particular modification? I should add, I have a 2022 Bighorn 1500 with Hemi

How is your rear window leak fix holding up?
I had it replaced under warranty as mentioned in the video description. So far, so good. Thanks for inquiring.

Hi thanks for responding to my video. I have not tried that particular feature, but the next time I tinker I will take a look. Anyone else?
Looks like this feature is currently not available for 2022 models...
