Well done on changing the car and finding something more suitable financially.. Lots of people won't "downgrade" even if they need to be mindful with money and then suffer later down the line..
Had an Astra as a family car from 1997 - 2014. Was a good car ( I'm not a car person, just a tool to me), hence why we kept it so long. Took our family of 4 from London to Cornwall, Wales, Up North and France on holidays. Never broke down, and that was with me servicing it on a skinflint basis! Was a little small luggage wise for beach holidays, but we solved that by buying roof bars and a cheap roof box. Well worth doing, gives you loads more space for all the kids paraphernalia. Subscribed 👍
A fair buy. Lots of Astras about, and they do the job well enough... You can have parking sensors fitted after you buy the car Natalie. Try looking at Dolphin Parking Sensors. You can buy them already painted in the car's correct colour, and a mobile fitter can come to your home and fit them. I've had 2 sets fitted over the years, and it usually costs around £150 all in.....They work well, and I had no issues with them. Each car I've had since, has had them fitted as standard though, so I've not needed to buy anymore.
I like how the screen in the dashboard is actually built in and integrated rather than an iPad glued to to the dashboard sticking out above it and sometimes impairing your view so much nicer. and a proper handbrake no electric bs
Call me simple and easily pleased but I love the shape and interior of that Year Mark What ever it’s called of Astra looks gorgeous. My dad has a stupid modern bmw but that Astra looks far nicer. Doesn’t look awfully roomy in the back though I must say not for adults but you did point that out anyway.
What a great video - very fun to watch and your new car looks amazing i wish i could afford a car one day - honestly i cant even afford to get lessons but i am saving very slowly, but i am now in my late 30s so feel like time is slipping away
Cool concept for a video! I've been driving for over 10 years now and I've never had a car over 5k, infact my last car cost me less than £800, and it's been faultless in getting the family around! The best kept secret in the used car market ia that you don't have to spend your entire budget! Edit: Just finished the video, very nice car! Good luck without the parking sensors!
Hi, good video. The Astra is a bit of a down grade on what you had before, but i can understand that loan payments can be crippling. Good luck with the rest of your videos 😀
These are rubbished by motoring snobs. Look after it servicing wise and it will be loyal. Watch out for water in doors take one of bungs out in bottom of doors. You will hear it sloshing around if affected - very common
Hello Nat, lovely new car. I can tell you’re really a silent car fan. One question I have, why did you want to change cars in the first place, was it to clear the loan.
@nataliecharlton4759 oh that's a shame, thank you for the reply and I hope you are enjoying the astra that also looks like a nice car but my heart is set on an suv
Quite likely, but I wasn’t involved in selling the car and had input in it. It wasn’t in the best condition either, so that would have affected the price too.

Yea I prefer the screen there too

Yea I’m guessing you loose the leg room in favour of having more boot space. Wouldn’t like to sit in the back myself but it’s fine for the kids

I was in the same position as you. I finally passed at age almost 39. Been driving over a year now. I promise you’ll get there 🥰
Toyota or Honda can’t go wrong

Thanks! I’ve been doing alright without the sensors and so far no bumps
I would have kept the seat all day long, better on everything but we are all different. Good luck with the astray
Thanks ☺️ I would have kept it too if I could

Hello Nat, lovely new car. I can tell you’re really a silent car fan. One question I have, why did you want to change cars in the first place, was it to clear the loan.
Yes that was part of the reason
So how long did the seat ateca last? Was it an issue with the car? I only ask I'm looking at getting one
There were no issues with the car and I would have kept it if I could. It was a good car and still running well
