I’m doing the exact opposite lol, i’ve been with apple for 10 years or so and now im switching to android (buying the s24 ultra)

That MacBook Pro looks very nice. I haven’t owned a laptop in 6 years but the two I’ve owned have been HP, both were pretty good but now I’ve had this interest a lot more into getting a MacBook especially after what happened involving that CrowdStrike incident earlier in the year. Considering that I have an iPhone 15, iPod Touch 6th generation, and an iPad 7th generation I might as well go for it all for my next laptop being from Apple.

I started with 3 basic phones from Verizon before switching to Straight Talk 10 years ago and I’ve owned nothing but an iPhone as my only smartphones. I’ve had the 4, 5S, 6, and 8 Plus before upgrading to a 15 in October 2024. I’ve had a massive upgrade from the 8 Plus and love my 15, got it in blue and I have protection all around with an Otterbox case, privacy screen protector, and camera lens protector on it.

switched from the samsung a52s, a fantastic phone i used for 3 years to the iphone 15 pro max in August. honestly i love both operating systems, both are great. there isnt many differences between iOS and android like a lot of people say. Both do the job. iOS has been perfect for me so far and I'm loving the experience on iOS, it doesn't really feel like your trapped in apples basement as people say. it honestly just feels like how you'd expect it to function. Im very happy i switched. Love the camera battery performance and everything about it. Very nice!

yay, congrats! hope it stays snappy as ever for you and your family, i'd completely avoid major iOS updates for that. also, 10 years worth of memories on google drive? i've heard horror stories aboit google just deletigg massive chunks of data or even wiping/losing people's entire drives without recovery. consider getting a cheap hard drive and backing it all up there? idk. stay safe and enjoy your!

Dear Natalie. Congrats on ur new iPhone. To explain, it is a fault with android phones yes….however it is fixed by downloading GoodLOCK camara assistant and clicking Quick tap shutter in camara assist. That stops the lag with Android. It’s stupid i know. To have to down load an additional app to stop lag on android. But there you go , thats how to deal with it. But enjoy your iPhone it’s simpler!!!❤

Good luck but try to get a proper mic awell. No matter how you edit the video if the sound is bad. You can also reduce the fish-eye of the video by not setting the camera (GoPro or action cam) to the widest view.

I'm an IT guy, not many go towards Apple or iPhone. I switched from flip phone, to iPhone (3G & 4), to Android (HTC One), back to iPhone (not sure which model) like 10 years ago. It was because I used to jailbreak my Android and install custom firmware which required me to backup my photos, messages, contacts, etc., each time. There was no equivalent to iCloud back then. The same goes for Contacts and Messages. Contacts had been synced to Gmail but 95% of the time failed. I had to use an app to backup everything, save them to my hard drive on my Computer and then update the firmware, then reinstall everything, then restore everything. Androids 'backup & restore' feature I haven't been successful with, there are always some custom apps or something it doesn't like to reinstall. But after I reinstall my backup apps, I drag my files from my Computer to my Android and then restore, end up having duplicates, etc. I have 2 Google accounts and syncing is a nightmare. This entire process became boring every Month and my Computer hard drive filled with so many backups of my phones... I was also busy with work that I didn't care for this process. I was missing contacts, PTSD I had no backups of my contacts or photos... Then my coworker was being teased about having an iPhone and he said "I just want a phone that works" and it made me think that they just work... and I too don't have time to mess around with Android. So I switched to iPhone and it just works. I respect others decisions to stick with Android but my iPhone just works, everything syncs, and if I ever want to restore everything literally restores exactly how I had it and even a security camera still remains signed in. There are apps I have to sign back into, but for the other items, everything is there including my games and their saved data. It just literally works. Photos sync. I want to get a MacBook because when it comes to troubleshooting them I am not good... but I want a personal laptop where I can look at my iCloud, share pics on iMessage, etc. much faster than my iPhone. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and I can feel it slowing down, but Android phones with their equivalent amount of OS upgrades would probably completely freeze the phone.

6:00 same here, I'm a Windows guy and I work in IT as well, not many IT professionals run to MacBook. But I've been eyeing them because I haven't bought myself a laptop for like my entire life. They've always been recycled from my Clients, or from parents when I was a kid. I have an iPhone and I like how things are pretty much synced so I wanted to jump on the Apple bandwagon some more lol.
