Hey Steven, Yeah they are very chimey. It's really nice to hear because I find that usually on a lot of lower to mid priced S style guitars, the single coils can be a bit muddy. These sound fantastic I think.
This guitar looks fantastic! I have had my V100 for a week now and absolutely love it. haven't picked up my Gibson Les Paul in a week! Vintage makes some great Lp's
The V100 is awesome. Did you get the Silverburst V100? Or did you get it in another colour? The Vintage stuff is amazing quality and they're so affordable. I don't know how they make it so good without raising the prices.
Im so happy that I received my V100 here in las vegas, nevada with no damage from shipping! looking forward to your review of the V100! Im sure you will love it too.
Did you have to ship it from overseas? My V100 demo will be online in the next hour or so! I'm exporting it from my video editing software right now! haha
@@LeighFugeGuitar Yes bought it in the UK and had it shipped to me here in las vegas, nevada, usa. I love this guitar! Plays better then my custom shop Gibson Les Paul. Have not put it down in a week!
@@LeighFugeGuitar I bought years ago a used vintage v100afd at a las vegas guitar center and thats how i found out about the brand.I put mojo tone 500k pots, switchcraft output and 3 way toggle in it.Also put seymour duncan slash pickups in it.Plays incredible! But i will be leaving this V100 silverburst alone. They put better electronics in this one! Also love these wilkinson pickups,Take care great video
Thank you man! Oh awesome, what colour V100 did you order? The V100 in this 25th Anniversary series is really special too. No, that amp has been here for a while. It's a Blackstar Silverline Deluxe. I've been using it all week on some videos I made for Blackstars UA-cam channel so it's still set up in my amp area. For the last couple of weeks this amp has been out of shot with my other amps.
First of all, great playing and great sound (and that's not only the guitar). I just read about those guitars and I think I got one of the last ones here in Germany (out of 15 total for Germany). Looking forward to playing it. Thanks for the video.
@@LeighFugeGuitar and it arrived yesterday. Great guitar, I even like the split-sounds of the humbucker (which I usually don't find too convincing). The neck feels really good. Judging from what I hear even without amplification, the basis (wood) is great, so better pickups (not that I find anything wrong with the Wilkinsons at the moment) might even be a reasonable investment.
They really do. They sound great and they play great. As a brand, they're putting out some fantastic stuff at prices they shouldn't be hitting. The three guitars in this series way outperform the price point they hit. I'd easily be convinced if you told me they cost at least double what they do.
Mine is No 2 of 100, look at 2020 Fender American pro one, same features at a way lower price, well the neck on Fender one will be better made, frets and so on but its killer
Hey Mark, They’re technically the lowest model, so below an Affinity. It’s definitely not as good as the Classic Vibe but it’s not a bad guitar by any stretch. The neck and body are good, frets are well done minus a few scratchy areas. I’m going to rewire it, new pickups, new tuners and see how far I can take it
@@LeighFugeGuitar wow, i thought they where a higher level than that! Sounds solid on the videos and looks smart! Modding is so cheap nowadays and makes a massive difference!
I think in USD they work out around 500-600... but don't quote me. I have a friend in Iowa who collects them and he has imported a lot of them from the UK/EU and that's the ball parks he's paid... not sure there are any US distributors... unless some have been added since I last checked.
@@LeighFugeGuitar Well, I'm looking at one for $350 USD (with authentication curtificate😱), which looks excellent, but being an unemployed teen sure sucks. Especially after receiving an Epiphone Plustop Pro for my Christmas present already.
Really? That's odd, this one didn't have that. To me, that sounds like a fault. I would speak to the store you got it from. The pickups on this guitar shouldn't be microphonic. Everyone else I know that has one of these loves it.
I'm new to these and only heard of them a short time ago. I like the sounds. Chimey...... good video Leigh. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate that. They’re great guitars, I’m sure you’ll love yours. When will you be getting it?!

Dude, these are so good!!! Vintage guitars sound just as good as brands that are much higher priced. At least to my ears anyway!

Great guitar!!! How do these compare to the Squier affinitys or Classic vibes?

How much are these worth? (lets say in US dollars)

I think their S style guitars feel better than their LP style examples; to me anyway.
They all feel great in this particular series, but I did love the S type. I lean towards S type guitars in general so I knew I'd love that one!
Fancy doing a Colab bro?
Absolutely! We've been talking about it for a while! We should make it happen.
wheres the Tremolo?...
Unfortunately the review model didn't come with a tremolo arm but it does have a tremolo. The Wilkinson tremolos these are fitted with are great.
microphonic pickup..noisy comes too loud like whistle when i using big amp and cab..
