Anthony Overton is likely the Black-History beauty mogul you haven't heard about.
To me, this gentleman seems to be one of the most influential and important maker of cosmetics of the 20th century, and I feel should be more well known in the prosfessional makeup world.
He is largely recognized as the 1st person to successfully market complexion products to the Black demographic and the first African American to own a major conglomerate!

Same here. It’s a very overlooked area of beauty history. It was lucky to connect with one of his family members after creating the video. There are definitely efforts made through the family to continue Anthony’s legacy- no idea why he’s not more known today. I was happy to have found this product, and happy someone thought to keep it.
