Of all the travel vloggers I've watched on UA-cam I sincerely think you guys are the best hands down. You both are very natural and classy and the kind of people I'd be honored to have as friends. Best Wishes, Rick Smith
@@samuelandaudrey You're very welcome and I hope you both enjoy and share more videos with myself and all your fans. What's great is that you're both real and it's obvious you enjoy traveling all over the world and the different culture and foods.
I am trying to determine which is the best part of the video. Many good moments, but what I love the most is your dog Togo greeting you and being deliriously happy to see you. 🤎🤎 And you are very lucky to have a trusted person to take good care of Togo when you are travelling far away.
I love the way your husband is always very polite and kind let you to try everything first it is very nice of him real gentlemen. You guys look so natural, nice and I love you both for that.
Glad that the unexpected layover turned out not bad, hotel in good quality, food tasty and bed spacious. But there’s nothing better than coming home. Have a good rest and cant wait to see u guys next upload.
Thank you for sharing your experience. What a glorious life you a privileged to live and how wonderful it is that we get to go with you via these videos. Thank you.
That is a really nice apartment! Especially the living room and the view! But that sucks about your flight being cancelled, especially after sitting on the airplane for two hours, but at least the hotel was really nice. I hope your throat feels better, Audrey!
Thank you! It was a really comfortable stay there. We felt tired but after a nice sleep and more Peruvian food it actually was a positive experience overall.
Beautiful home and so good view. Thank you for visiting Perú and for remembering us the good parts of the country. Much love and good wishes on your travels. 🌈💓🎈🌿🐦
Loved this vlog guys!!!! It was really nice to have a little peek into your lives!! You two make a great couple👍 Love your journey. Hope your bruises went down ok Audrey😲 Love Adam and Corinne🙂🙂
I stayed there for 6 months. Oh I cried when I had to leave. I did not want to leave. Peru is my home as I feel more at home there than in my own country.
First time commenter, but long-time watcher! Love your videos and travels! I live in the PRC and have gone from zero respiratory issues to loads - if air pollution/quality is a consistent problem in Lima, you might try gargling with mouthwash or homemade saline solution (1/4 teaspoon each of salt and baking soda in 1 cup of clean warm water). Doing a sinus flush with the saline solution also helps me loads. Good luck and happy travels!
My sister also lives in that neighborhood. Indeed, it is gorgeous and convenient area. Too bad your flight was cancelled...such a stressful experience (it has happened to me too there). Good luck and looking forward your next adventures!
Last but not least, being a content provider is a truly hard job. Although you make some money on UA-cam, but for those of us who are lazy or unmotivated or don't have the means, way to go!......thanks for sharing your experience(s)....
I was born at the clinic across the street to the apt, good hope clinic, and whenever I visit I stay about a minute walk from where you guys are at, super cool! Love your videos!
My husband and I went to Chile and Peru last year which included a trip to Cusco and Machu Picchu. But we really loved Lima and would back in a heartbeat! We had similar departure problems which are never fun.
Y’all videos are the best!! Thank you so much for talking about how the flight was. Many travel vloggers don’t and as for someone who doesn’t like to fly it’s refreshing to hear your thoughts! 😊
Audrey, I have the same thing happen to me everytime I spend a few weeks in Lima. I get a sore throat, stuffy nose, and my allergies go crazy. Idk if it's all the traffic, fog, or ever present moisture.
Did you have to pay for the hotel? The last time I was in Lima my flight was cancelled too, but I had to pay for a night somewhere, I ended up staying in a pretty cheap but decent hostal just a few miles away from the airport. It was in an area not to be walked around at night especially, even the taxi driver told me it was dangerous and he waited for me to get through the door before driving away. I have fond memories of Lima and Peru.
I had a flight cancelled from Lima to NY on United, the airline put us in the same Sheraton hotel. Its a really nice hotel. The surrounding area looks so pretty at night with the lights. I had a few extra vacation days still so I didnt mind staying an extra day with everything being on the airlines cost. Really nice shopping and dining options too right behind the hotel.
Miraflores is one of if not the most nicest Districts of Lima and/or the whole country. That apartment probably sells for $2,500/sq m if not more, or around $250,000. For a Peruvian that's a lot of money. For an expat looking into downsizing and retiring in Peru, it's a good deal. Traveling from and to the top residential districts of Lima (Miraflores is one of them) is about $20 to $25 per trip on average. Uber is also available (for now). If only one person travels, then the bus makes sense, else the taxi is still the best option. Air Canada Rouge sucks! I don't travel with them unless I have no other choice. I guess if you are based on Toronto (or Montreal) there is the non-stop flight advantage that is hard to beat. Also it's better to be safe than sorry with airplanes in general. The Sheraton in Lima is one of the nicest traditionals hotels. The buffet is very delicious and affordable (around $20 if I remember correctly). It's good the airline didn't sent you to a cheap Callao hostel. The area around of the airport is sadly, not safe.
When I used to live in Montreal, I flew Delta usually via Atlanta. Now I live in Vancouver, and I try to get the flights to Lima via Houston with United. It's almost a straight line. When Continental was serving the route (before the merger) they offered the nicest flights. I often got upgrades to first or business class. Now, it's only when there is a cheap upgrade available or so. At least the United planes serving that route now have a full entertainment suite, WiFi, and they land in Lima every day (or twice a day if you count the Newark flights). Thus no need to wait like two days for the flight to re-schedule if it's Air Canada Rouge. By the way, I have nothing against Air Canada, it's just its cheaper cousin Rouge that I don't like ( I miss JetsGo :) ). So far, I prefer airlines that are based in the US, as they know their business, are better regulated, have lots of planes to spare in case there is a malfunction, and their airports are better organized. I know going through US Customs is a hassle, but if one is prepared, I normally go through Immigration, Customs and Security in less than 1 hour.
Same!! I'm from Peru but I live in Canada, and every time I visit Peru I feel sick, my throat hurts almost everyday. I guess I'm now adjust to the Canadian weather
TOGA.......I love that pup. Probably feels good to be home at last, but at least the layovers weren't to bad cause they fed you and gave you a place to lay your heads. Is the grill master gonna do his magic again?? Have fun with the family and Toga of course. Bye from Bethlehem Pa.
I watched your channel in spanish and I been curious about how is Samuel in the videos, and I have to say that he's doing a great job with you, you are an amazing couple, I like it! wonderful video, thanks for visit our country!
I love to watch you two, so cute together and enjoying the food. I loved the apartment, is it expensive there? How expensive is apartments. It had a beautiful view. Where do you actually live? Thanks for sharing. Peru looks like an amazing place.
You guys do very good research on food and dishes to try in places you visit. No other channel, except Mark Weins, has such an exhaustive (all inclusive) content on food. Once I see your videos, I don't have to watch other videos at all to plan my vacations effectively.
OMG! I ve been to that Sheraton hotel, because I lost a connection there, since the weather in Buenos Aires was really bad and the airport was shut down, so they transferred me there once I got to Lima , it’s a really nice hotel I really enjoyed my stay there hope you too
Im glad that even by accident you both stayed at the Sheraton Hotel. The food as far as I know is encharge to José Montes, maybe one of 10 best chefs of Perú. Another time try to dinner or assist to the Special Buffets, like sancochado, or the Rodizio at La Cúpula, which is a experience to crown you goumet travel on Perú. Return soon, and be fine.
Que bueno que la cancelación del vuelo terminó siendo una buena experiencia!!! 😊 vi que probaron el tallarin saltado criollo, es buenazoo mi plato favorito 😋
We are from BC, up near Smithers. I was going to suggest on your Gdansk video that you should try BC fish and chips. If you grew up here you know how delicious BC Pacific halibut is. 😀
Too bad you had your flight cancelled. Once something similar (but worst) happened to me. I was flying from Miami/Atlanta/Sao Paulo. Bad weather. Lost flight to Brazil. Next only in two days. Since it was a weather issue the airline didn't pay for hotel or food. US immigration didn't allow me to get luggage back. I had to but clothes at the airport. The good thing is that I could do a sightseeing tour in Downtown Atlanta on my own, although I was very tired just like you
Hey Samuel, you have been eating too much in Peru, just kidding; nonetheless, both of us need to go on a bit of diet...and I hope you are not offended....That said, without any hypocrisy, you and Audrey are awesome and perfect couples....anyhow, as for your flight being cancelled, s*it happens, you just gotta laugh it off or s*ck it up :)....FYI: I didn't have time to watch the whole clip .... but again as your other clips it was quite nice, keep up the good work

That is cool to hear! Do you plan to go back?
Absolutely! I caught a bad cold in Cusco and missed out on going to Iquitos. That's a great reason to return (not that I need one).

You guys mentioned the apartment was an airbnb? Would it be possible to know how much you guys paid for the apartment?
We got a friends and family discount. I forget how much we paid but it is less than normal.

Totally agree with you! We enjoyed our stay and loved having an extra day to eat Peruvian food.
Quick llama is also a good method of transportation to and from the airport. 20 soles from and to a private location.
That's a great deal!

Great video 👍🏻 one question, are there any affordable neighbourhoods in the suburbs of Toronto? Please help 🙏🏻
Thanks! You would have your best luck with an airbnb as hotels must be expensive.

The deserts looked amazing
Thank you! It was really tasty :)
Leaving Lima is so bittersweet. So much to do so little time it always seems.
Thanks! That is exactly how we feel.
Lima has pollution but maybe it was the awful humidity.
Great video, greetings from Pennsylvania.
Thanks Carlos! It is quite humid.
You’ve made me want to go to Peru! My list is so long! And, I’m someone who travels. 🤦🏾♀️
Thank you very much!
Did you bring Togo some bones to eat from Lima?

We are from BC, up near Smithers. I was going to suggest on your Gdansk video that you should try BC fish and chips. If you grew up here you know how delicious BC Pacific halibut is. 😀
The fish from BC is incredible! I grew up eating smoked salmon prepared by my Dad in the summers.
Are you guys coming in 2020?? 👍🏼
Would love to!
Audrey, te enfermas por la humedad que hay en LIma, hay demasiada humedad y más en invierno.
Gracias! ¿Algún consejo para lidiar con eso?
You guys should visit Sams side of the family we always meet Audrys family in videos
