Curious what is everyone's favorite season?!
Season 3 is easily my favorite but season 4 is close behind

Just so you guys know when people say hinata sucks at volleyball its not hating ,maybe the way the phrase it, but an actual assessment. He has physical gifts that allow him to be effective at volleyball but aside from that he still has a lot to learn. This season is great for his growth as a volleyball player
Hinata is so frustrated with some hint of jealousy but it's fine. Some people find hinata infiltrating the training camp, embarrassing but for me it's funny yet it shows how much he wants to improve and watch closely other players to learn something.
I'm happy that you guys appreciated Asahi's look in this season, some people don't but we dooooo😚
They are getting more creative with the opening, and i'm not mad at all😂
This might sound harsh but now it's time for you guys to really realize how trash Hinata actually is, probably one of my favorite arcs in all sports anime.
Well said. Also, I dont even think that the shiratorizawa coach is hating on hinata on the line where he said that hinata is trash without kageyama. It actually literally describes hinata in the beginning of this arc. As evident in the previous seasons he cant even receive or serve properly. The only thing hinata is good at is scoring with the help of kageyamas insane talent in setting. Im not hating on hinata or what, just sharing my thoughts, hinata actually became one of my favorite character in the series after this arc and the arc after the nationals

He's trash but more like a stone that hides diamond in it. Bcs his true strength is yet to be discovered, but many have noticed the potential inside him. The only thing that could make it happen is himself, and I REALLY love that he has the drive to be better and find his true potential to the highest

Yeah I remember he mentioned that not sure if in anime or the manga tho.
I felt a second hand embarrassment watching this episode the first time (laughing) but at the same time I respected Hinata even more.
I hope you guys watched the Shiratorizawa epilogue scene too!
Also, this season's first half is basically a reminder that Hinata, though talented, is a beginner player. He can't receive or serve well, which are the volleyball player basics.

The animation in season four more closely resembles the manga.
The Land vs Air and Path of the Ball OVAs are canon and an essential part of the story that should be watched before this. Why does this happen with every reaction series for Haikyu nowadays? Seriously, did no one on their Patreon tell them what they need to watch and in what order?
Still, I'm sure I'm being really toxic by telling anyone they're doing something wrong... This community is hopeless.

Its their first year of high school , 3 years of high school in Japan, Hinata is 15/16 years old. I have faith in Hinata, whatever the situation is in , he'll make the best out of it. Fun reaction 😁
He's 16, the oldest of the first years at Karasuno.

My favorite season so far ! If I had one flaw for this anime, it's its lack of an out-of-game scene. And this start to the season is perfectly constructed as well. Hope you like it !
Its similar to miyata and his dad in hajime no ippo . He wants to prove that being the best counter puncher can make you the world champion .

The Shiratorizawa Coach does not Hinata but have high expectation for Hinata to overcame his obstacles.
Per the statement by the coach in this episode "Without the setter, Kageyama, I can't say that i sense any worth in you."
Meaning he wants Hinata to improve not relying to Kageyama.
Anyway that is all I don't tell cause it will be more spoilers.

the coach's life would not change due to hinata's emergence lol, he was a coach when old man ukai was a coach so he's seen what the little giant could do

😢Voice actor ) Keishina Kazunari Tanaka passed away from an intracerebral hemorrhage on October 10, 2016. After his death, Egawa Hisao became the new seiyuu.
His name is just plain Kazunari Tanaka. Wonder where you got "Keishina Kazunari Tanaka" from? Perhaps you misread *coach Ukai's 1st name (Keishin)* wrongly, then thought it's some kind of title that should be added in front of the voice actor's name? Japanese names hardly ever have middle names, btw.
Iirc, this season was made by a different studio. They've changed the animation and it got a ton of backlash throughout this season. But it's still our beloved Haikyuu nonetheless!
it’s still production i.g. (except for the few episodes that got outsourced) but they switched the artstyle to reflect furudate’s changing artstyle in the manga
