Imitation is is the sincerest form of flattery. That said, I'd spent more time learning to play as well as Tom rather than trying to clone his board. That said, you guys do amazing work and I think whoever gets this board will be happy. That's good stuff!
Two thumbs up for the extra neat wiring. Why anyone would need all those pedals if beyond me. One good amp and maybe two or three pedals at most is all you need. Good tone is in the hands.
With (most) pedals being more obtainable than our heroes' guitars, I think a tribute board like this is cool. I've enjoyed figuring out a small pedalboard that suits my ears and needs, but if I could afford to replicate my heroes' boards just for fun, you better believe I would!
LOL. I’ve been looking for a good condition Yamaha RGZ-621RP in Sparkle finish for a couple of years now. It was my first electric guitar. I sold it more than a decade ago.
Can you please explain how you are powering the m9? There's a mixed bag of info on the internet. I have a Zuma but someone from Strymon actually told me you shouldn't use current/voltage doubler cables so I'm confused.
The slam dunk way is to use a CIOKS Crux. I can't say exactly whey Strymon doesn't approve of paralleling outputs, it may have to do with load balancing, or it may compromise their fault protection schemes. You could double ports to power an M9, it just takes several.
Can we get a ballpark total cost on a board like this. And please, no “if you have to ask…” comments. I’m just curious how much of a tax write off something like this is. 3k? 5k?
Just look up the price on the pedals...there all very common ,many can be substituted with cheaper clones too if you want...an EQ modded by Analog Man isnt necessary, standard EQ is more than fine for example...there's nothing unobtainable here
@@darklight4815 yeah, pretty sure I could eventually figure it out. Not what I asked , though. Just wanted to see if anyone out there who’s ponied up for one of these was willing to share how much they have invested in it.
Love you to guys. The back and forth banter only comes from good friends and good people
I'll let Eric know we're doing better at hiding our latent hostility towards one another. Thanks!
100% Unc Larry's board right there folks, peep the vb2
the son of kong and rehoused odr-1 are the identifiers for me
It's the modified GE-7 and TR-2 for me
Does Larry do Waza VB2 tho?
We have not put that on a board for him, I don't think.
@@xacttone waza doesn’t seem very Uncle Larry, no shade to the Craft..
Eric is a genius man you’re boards are of the charts 🤟🏻
He is a very bright fellow!
Very cool breakdown of a very cool board. I’ve always wondered the exact signal flow of the boards so this is very informative
I clicked this video because of Uncle Larry but now I gotta watch all the videos in the channel because these guys are hilarious, big comic duo vibes.
Someday we'll take the show outside of Eric's lab.

Maybe you can do both.
Elephant Foot Risers makes bottom plate slabs for many pedals including Boss, Rats, Wah Wah pedals, Digitech, TC Electronic, Ibanez and more.

Instantly recognisable as a BukBoard. 👍

That's a great POV
Whoa, Tommy better check no one's peepin in his windows with this guy.. Jeez.
Work looks incredible tho. I see why ppl spend the money, sooo clean..
Solid build here guys!!
Danke!
Shout out to those Yamaha guitars. Amazing necks on those and even the cheap ones too
You and Eric are going to be fast friends.
@@xacttone vroom vroom
beautiful !
Thank you! Cheers!
@@xacttone you’re welcome
Awesome video! I get the various stages of overdrive but not sure I understand the need for multiple eqs.
You can preset them for different things.

Good luck, I think Eric still has a Reverb alert setup!
_Very_ cool. Just need an O.G. VB-2 for the 👌🏻 Chef's Kiss.
Lot's of nice stuff on that board but I haven't seen the Zuma. The H9 is interesting thought. What pedals do you use to build a Bass Board.
Whatever pedals the particular bass player needs, we've got a video here that covers a bass board: ua-cam.com/video/OPAFo70U6P0/v-deo.html
question. what's the reason(s) stacking lightspeed before the other overdrives ? thank you.
We like lower gain in front of higher gain.

Uncle Larry!
That Ibanez EQ is hard to find. How does the v1 Lex compare to the v2 ?
I prefer the V2
Just curious how often do you see the Timmy ? I much prefer it over the odr1
We see a lot of Timmys. Different than the ODR but a great pedal.
Great board, but you should both have a mic, Eric was really quiet in the mix!
Old video, we felt the same way and fixed it subsequently. Thanks!
10k views but only 3.5 subs????? Come on guys, click that subscribe button.
You heard him!
Yes, this is The Tool
Vertex should make a volume pedal and that boost built into it :)
They could!
Do you do the HD mod on the M9?
We don't, sorry.

Probably 8k in pedals and power supplies and 800 - 1k to have them make cables / routing / labels / the board / mounting / interface.
Haha, I sure hope this board belongs to Tom Bukovac himself.
Not Buky's. Just one of the faithful. :)
@@xacttone haha! That's crazy! Someone even bothered finding that funky Ibanez Eq! Thanks, great seeing You guys doing videos like this.
Do Nashville players use buffers on big pedal boards? Or is that an LA thing?
Sure! If called for/wanted.
LOL are you guys just being funny and this is UL's board?
Not Tom's, but like Tom's
Less camera motion would make your videos watchable, the amount of camera movement makes me nauseous.
