Let’s brew Kumaen Gyokuro! Japan's premium green tea & winner of The Fortnum & Mason Leafies Award

In this video I will introduce you to one of Japan's finest tea - Gyokuro. Gyokuro (玉露) is shaded green tea from Japan. The name "gyokuro" translates as "jewel dew" and reflects the taste and beauty of this style of sencha.
The tea I will make in this video comes from Yame - a type of highly-prized tea produced in Fukuoka and cultivated in the Yame-shi region. Yame-cha makes up about 3% of Japan's green tea production and 45% of Japan's gyokuro production.
