Great video - thanks for sharing! Couldn't you reduce the face count substantially on all your LODs by taking the detail out of the vertical faces that are the outside edges of your trenches? They're not intended to be seen and will be covered by terrain won't they? E.g. at 2:53, it looks about 1/2 of all the faces are on the vertical "external wall" of the trench?
I do have a question. As we can't take objects from Bohemia into blender directly. How is it about textures? for example, if I want to have an object with a grass textures, so I can mask a hole in the ground, how can I have the same grass textures as the ground? Because same applies for your trenches, when you want to blend them into the world.
