My Russian’s meows had no sound when he opened his mouth when he was a kitten. I stayed at home with him for 3 weeks when I first got him. When he was a kitten his first actual sound was when I left the room quietly when he fell asleep and he woke up within 5 minutes and I wasn’t there, he came out looking for me and made a little monkey sound at me because I left the room without him. He still makes the monkey sound occasionally when he gets upset looking for me. 😂
Kotetsu also didn't meow much when he was a kitten. Currently, he cries when he wants food and when he wants to be played with. My favorite call is the one he makes when he finds an insect🧚
my fluff ball must be a secret russian blue. she's a fawn grey tabby from an abusive previous owner. took her years till she felt confident to make audible noises at me. they were just silent mouth movements before that. still is silent except for certain times, so very similar to the russian blue in that way. i reward her with positive attention, etc, whenever she does something that she' used to do when we first got her (survival defense instinct behaviours, prey freeze behaviours, victim behaviours, etc). now she's my little confident tiger walking around the property like she owns it, with me as her #1 butler/masseuse. only has bad moments sometimes when startled. 💜 her
Oh yes! The 0430 food riot. They have crunchies. They get a midnight snack. It’s the ritual of the feeding they want. Once it’s dished and down, all interest is lost.

Wow, dude, that is one beautiful Russian Blue.
Thank you. Kotetsu is difficult to find on wallpaper, floors, sweaters, etc. when it overlaps with similar colors.🐾😺
My male cat is part Russian Blue, he makes sounds that I’ve never heard from a cat. He’s very chatty.
I'm very interested in your cat's voice. Kotetsu is a quiet cat, so even talkative like yours are cute.

She is happy that she found a good owner.
Kotetsu is the best masseuse in our house. He walks free on Mom and looks possessive.
My Blue Lily meowed like the world was ending when she accidentally got locked in the garage. Other than that she rarely mews.
Lily wouldn't have understood what happened then. 😸Kotetsu hardly meows even towards the kitten Tama who recently started living with him.🐈
🐺🐺🐺🐺
😺😻😸
Bless you for taking such good care of your cat and making it so deng happy
Thank you. We don't have any children, so we are raising Kotetsu as if he is our real child.🐈🐱
My female Blue, Troll, (found under bridge) makes noises like a tiny Camaro peeling out on bumpy pavement.
There are various sounds of meowing. Every voice heals me🐈⬛💚
Cute❤❤❤
Thank you. My voice is small, but I meow surprisingly often.

They also chirp.
4:30 riot is too early! I didn't know late-night eating was a ritual for them. Will this ritual continue even if Kotetsu becomes an old cat?
Should I buy an automatic feeder?🐾
Mine is very vocal when it comes to food..
Your cat seems lively and happy. Kotetsu often erases his presence.🐈🐾
I had a black cat who was mute.
Kotetsu cries, but his voice is always low.🐈🐾
Are Russian Blues good for a single senior? Yes I know shelter cats are great but he wants a Russian Blue. Any serious answers? 🤔
Russian Blues are a carefree cat breed, so they may get along well with older people.🐈🐾
