I have a couple of these things. The square holder and a smaller square plate. They work good. You just have to play with the time depending on the Microwave.
for the bacon bowl you have to wrap 5 to 7 pieces even more around it so it has more support and you need to wrap the entire area

Hey most of those gadgets are just gadgets but the bacon plate is tried and true lol. I remember that from when I was a kid over 20 years ago. A tip though, place paper towel under and over the bacon. It'll help absorb the grease and cleanup is much easier

+Ray Patrick My mom said that you never put grease in the sink because it will clog it. I never understood why, because it goes down the drain and the drain still works afterwards. I never just pour it down there by itself though, I always turn the tap water on, and even use dish soap and squirt a bit down the drain as I pour grease out into it. Sink still works perfectly fine, and no smelly odor coming from it. Apparently the grease congeals in the pipes and clogs it up and makes it stink, never happened to me, personally

The bowl was probably made for turkey bacon, it doesn't shrink.
For the bacon bowl, you need to put more bacon on. it shrinks a lot, so then you add more. Two pieces wont really cut it. Maybe 3 or 4 pieces.

The bacon bowl didn't work because you have bad bacon. It's mostly fat, so it's gonna cook off. You have to get better bacon with more meat

I think the issue with the bowl is that bacon shrinks as it cooks, it'd probably needs much longer pieces and maybe two pieces warped around
