Beautiful little book! I am so grateful for your reviews - really enlightening. I would not be aware of many of them if it wasn’t for your channel so thank you!!
I knew not of this small prayer book prior to your presentation. Thanks for offering a glimpse into the text, and bringing this to my attention. Wonderful!!
Another great review! I’m so glad to have found your channel. I thought that I was the only one with the prayer book collecting addiction! I have many of the books that you have reviewed already, and some that you have not, yet. So, here’s looking forward to more new episodes. Thanks!
Well, where to start? I have newer prayer books, antique prayer books, rare or out of print prayer books, Eastern, Western, books produced by various jurisdictions, multiple editions, etc.. A bit of a variety, I’d say.
Excellent. I like that it has Children's Prayers...not enough of those, along with prayer for Clergy..."My Orthodox Prayer Book" also has a few prayers for children. -s
I’m always a proponent of pocket sized prayer/theological/on saints books. So useful for when you are on lunch at work or travelling. If you pick me, it won’t be in vain. God bless
I love this book, and encourage its purchase, however at 4:57 I believe you can see that the Gauze (aka Super, Band or Strip) on your copy has already come about 1/2 unglued from the page bundles. Try feeling with your pinky - if you feel something grate-like, sort of like a window screen, about 1 inch in, that's where adhesive should be binding it to the ends of the book's page bundles themselves. Without that, all the pressure goes to the first hinged pages on the front and back of the book (with it, the weight is carried by the covers). I decided to digitize my copy, and I have no reason to think that UOC of USA wouldn't have replaced it if asked. Or, if you have a handy streak, you could probably apply more adhesive yourself before anything rips - research suggested Elmer's Craft Bond ("remains flexible") + a small paintbrush as the least expensive option.
@@OrthodoxReview some good news and bad news from me: The UOC of USA replaced my copy, without me directly asking, or having to send the old one back! The bad news: it appears to have the same precursor issue as your copy does. I'm not a bookbinding professional, but my mom happens to have a friend who is, so I should be able to come back with an expert opinion in a weekend or two...
Great review. I have no prayer book yet, wanting to have one but difficult to get here in the Philippines. I compiled one from online websites and pdfs, but a hardbound prayer book is always better. Not sure if the giveaway is open to international subscribers, but subscribed and commented just the same to follow your wonderful channel. Looking forward to more reviews.
I love this prayer book! It's beautiful and sturdy and it's English is a step above every other translation I've seen.

I would love to buy this one because I literally have nothing in Ukrainian. The English is a bonus to help with translation.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Email me at orthodoxreview@gmail.com and we'll send it your way.
Orthodox Review thank you very much! I haven’t seen your comment yet.
