A very special day (February 29, 2024) for Jackie & Shadow of Big Bear Valley, California. Video footages from FOBBV (Friends of Big Bear Valley).
Today (02/29/2024) is supposed to be the pipping* day of Egg#1. However, no evidence confirmed the anticipation. Experts indicate the possible adjustment since Jackie delayed the incubation until she laid her Egg#2 and Egg#3 (FB FOBBV Group, 2024).
I may have mis-labelled Jackie & Shadow during their COGs (Changing of Guards), please forgive me. I slid the watch bar too fast and missed a couple of change-shifts - my apologies. 🙏🏼
*Pipping is the tiny crack showing on the external eggshell, signaling the upcoming hatch or "birth" of the chick.
