Twice the projectile, but only carry 1/2 the ammunition? Kind of like a soldier carrying an 18mm or 20mm pistol he invents? Its cool, but is it effective? Isnt that what tanks and aircraft are for? Can you ever have too much ammunition in a firefight? Does a larger hole in a house or truck really matter that much?

This ammo is the same diameter as conventional 35mm cartridges, so it's a trade off for effectiveness. Not half as many, maybe 2/3s. The turret will be redesigned too.

What a waste, better off with a radio to call in airstrikes or artillery, or better still a small light weight laser to mark a target. Point of striker is to be fast and mobile not big and heavy, yet every year some jack fool from a defense contractor keeps adding bigger and bigger guns so they can make more money. Reminds me of a scene from the movie Pentagon wars. First the 25mm then the 30mm now the 50 mm what next a 155mm? Why? We already have vehicles for that it's called a tank. Give it a crows turret of a .50 cal a .30 cal and a laser problem solved.
