You Can Do This is a growing community of videos, created by people with diabetes, with the aim of provide validation, hope and encouragement through honest talk for those who struggle with the disease.
I totally identified with so much of what you said in your video, I've been thru so many of the same things that you have in my years with diabetes. Well done!
Elisa, you are an awesome person for sharing something like that. Props to you!
Good job on the video. I think it is awesome that you did this.
First, glad you didn't worry about the trolls, darlin'. You look beautiful, so don't even sweat it.
Second, you handle yourself extremely well in front of a camera very well. You're very eloquent.
Third, it got a little dusty in here listening to your story. Very inspiring, and thank you for sharing it.
This video was very touching, awesome job Elisa!
WOW Out of all the time i have known you I never new you were a diabetic. You are a special person and I knew this from when I first met you. I do not have Diabetes, but 2 of my closest friends have type one, and one has type 2. I make sure they are on top of their game and taking care of themselves always! You are a very dear friend to me and I want you to know you are never alone. My phone rings and my email takes mail besides things to do with gaming! Love you Elisa and stay strong!!
Just wanted to say this was a really great video and I admire you for recording it. Hearing your story was very moving and I'm sure anyone who sees this will feel the same way!
I love you Elisa, Youre such an inspiration to everyone. :)
so honest...thanks for sharing.
@KellyRawlings1 Glad to have met you as well.
@RockBandParts Thank you Ryan.
@Quikstepper Thank you much :)
@JimmyGrimbleRB aww thank you. Love you too :)
@dyaballikl I meant cancer related in regards to having a transplant since they put you on so many immunosuppressants. The only negative id see with a pump is that it malfunctions on ya but other than that I dont see much. Some people get skin irritation but I havent experienced that thankfully.
@CorruptedHomeless You're welcome. Stay strong ^^
@mrsjadephoenix Thank you. I appreciate that :)
@texasfinest903 I hope it helps, people need to know they have support.
I'm wondering what these obvious risks are to the pump. I haven't heard of contracting cancer being an issue. I've been on insulin pumps for about 14 years now, and I've had much better control than before.
Also, my DOC is Relativiox :D (beetus!)
@crash53456 Thank you kind sir.
@JBSpudster Aww thanks spuddy, I try to be. Just gotta roll with the punches.
