I’m Christian. I notice Muslims say this a lot. My Muslim friend said this to me as well. As a Christian, I’ve never been taught to approach life like this. But it feels calming. Is this how Muslims approach life? Is this what is taught in your religion? I wish and hope to adopt this philosophy. I’ve never approached life like that. I approach life with anxiety and fear about the injustices, and then feel the need to try to right the injustices. It’s not a calming way to approach things. It’s very fear driven, bc quite honestly I have a hard time believing in God to tell you the truth . I can’t even sleep at night bc I worry about the Palestinians, I cry, I protest about this genocide. What am I missing in life? I guess I’m missing the belief in a divine power? …. How can a divine power exist when such atrocities happen like this?

However, the weakness of our Ummah is due to a colonial cultural backward mindset that has created more ignorance and greed, trapping people in earthly entertainments and materialistic pursuits. Additionally, we face the staggering betrayal of corrupt Arab leaders, and as we feel powerless in this most horrible times and incapable of anything more to rescue our Palestinian brothers and sisters, we rely on Allah the Omnipresent, the Lord of the Earth, Heavens and universe, we pray to Him and ask Him to rescue our brothers and sisters who are being exterminated and tortured, and give to those of us who are feeling very distressed about this horrific situation, to give us patience, wisdom and empower us to support and stand with our Palestinian people, and that's the weakest leap of faith we can do, as prayer and tawakul (reliance) on Allah are our strongest weapon against the oppressor.

From my personal experience, because of Gaza, I spoke to my mum again after 7 years. Now I pray 5 times a day and speak to my mum and dad everyday (we live in different countries), she is 60 now. It's really hard to be a good practicing Muslim but Allah gives me hope through the steadfastness of Palestine. Thank you and much love

The eyes cried but the heart found relief listening to these accounts. Thank you so much for sharing. You see all these heartbreaking images, but you do not know the internal state of a believer. When you remove food and water from the human body it becomes weak. It doesn’t matter who you, you will become weak. The muscles tire out. The mind becomes fatigued. You slow down. Emotions run high on such short levels of energy. Just to perform prayer in a state of weakness takes strength. I cannot comprehend how Palestinians are even functioning at all with such little nutrition, let alone mustering the strength to stand tall in the face of the worst atrocities against them. Having limbs amputated without sedation and pain medicine. And yet they are going through this. How? What are these examples of other than signs of Allah’s mercy? I pray that Allah protects them and strengthens them and gives them the tools they need to excel in these tests, and continues to give them signs of a nearby victory which is promised to them.

This speech has made us see the truth we believe in, through the stories this good soul shared with us has got us to see clearly and give us hope more and allow our hearts to be more steadfast , we pray for our Muslim brothers (the best ones today in example) for all to see how Allah almighty gives the ones he wants the true eman (faith) victory is the martyrdom and the steadfast/and strong faith during the hardest trials and the Palestinians are leaving proof of it all. My heart goes out to all in Gaza

Thank you for sharing, those who have an ounce of compassion can feel it. Please more discussion, it helps us to hear compassion during times like this. From my personal experience, because of Gaza, I spoke to my mum again after 7 years. Now I pray 5 times a day and speak to my mum and dad everyday (we live in different countries), she is 60 now. It's really hard to be a good practicing Muslim but Allah gives me hope through the steadfastness of Palestine. Thank you and much love

The eyes cried but the heart found relief listening to these accounts. Thank you so much for sharing. You see all these heartbreaking images, but you do not know the internal state of a believer.
When you remove food and water from the human body it becomes weak. It doesn’t matter who you, you will become weak. The muscles tire out. The mind becomes fatigued. You slow down. Emotions run high on such short levels of energy. Just to perform prayer in a state of weakness takes strength.
I cannot comprehend how Palestinians are even functioning at all with such little nutrition, let alone mustering the strength to stand tall in the face of the worst atrocities against them.
Having limbs amputated without sedation and pain medicine.
And yet they are going through this. How?
What are these examples of other than signs of Allah’s mercy?
I pray that Allah protects them and strengthens them and gives them the tools they need to excel in these tests, and continues to give them signs of a nearby victory which is promised to them.
