Hey, great build! I am going to try and make one for my kiddo, could you please tell me how many pieces of 2x4's you purchased/used for the build?? Thanks!
I just did the math, it's 58.166 ft total or about 698 inches total (692.25 inches to be exact) ...So you would need about 10 6ft pieces of 2x4 wood (12 just in case) OR Eight 8 ft boards since he cuts an 8ft board in half to do this.. I'm going to buy 9 of the 8ft boards, just in case because they are so cheap.
i recomend raising the matress up slightl;y and supporting it on cross slats it doesent need to be much but enough to allow some air flow under there otherwise youll find the matress will rot as moisture seeps down through the mattress from sweating and humidity in the ait and it cant go anywhere so it sweats and gets damp and mold will grow about a inch up off the floo should do the job for you though
GREAT BUILD!!!! Do you have the plan ?! My husband and I are looking for plans like this and try to make it ourselves. Of course i wish you make it and sell it to us .~
I do not have the plan ready yet. I've been working on the 3D plans for the other bed frames that I have on my channel. So I will get to this one eventually. It would be nice if I could build these to sell but I'm so busy with all my other stuff.
The cuts and pocket holes don't take too long. Sanding and paint is the longest part. I like to take the build in sections. After you finish the build you will feel accomplished!
Very nice job, what does Ashley think? Emma obviously likes it! You might want to add some colorful fabric to complete the roof. I see you really like using pocket holes. Using the tensile strength of the screws is an ideal approach. 🦀
Ashley thought it turned out really great. Emma and I have already added fabric to the top to make a tent. Pocket screws are great. So easy to work with.
What is the spacing that your used on your railing slats? Did you stick with standard crib spacing or are they wider? If wider why did you decide to go wider? Do you have any concerns for safety and getting limbs or head getting stuck?
@@LandtoHouse, what if you plugged them without glue? Then you could drill out the plugs for disassembly? I'd take photos so I could find all the plugs later, but I guess you have the video! Silly me! LOL! I'm thinking that you might be able to drill halfway and then pull the plug out? Or maybe put a screw halfway into the plug, then pull on the screw and the plug should come out too?... Easy to test on a sample. 💜🌞🌵
I would have to go back and count them from the video. Sometime in the future I will make a 3d design with cut list. That will have the number of boards.
If the boards were exactly 2inches wide, he'd be okay, but they aren't 2inches wide so his opening is too big in the middle and the are certainly too big in the corners. Luckily, the bed is on the floor so there's no danger of falling. But getting your head stuck whilst sleeping can be terrifying. 💜🌞🌵
@@LandtoHouse since it's on the ground and not trying to prevent the child from falling out of the bed, you can go with a deck railing spacing standard of no more than 4" gaps to keep children from becoming stuck between the stiles
Thank you
Really Nice, and especially having her participate in putting it together.
I already make it. Looks nice and we paint with the color pink. My daughter love it.
Very cool. I'm happy you were able to build a bed.
Great work smiling dad!
My daughter still sleeps in this bed frame. Thank you for watching.
Well done mate, good effort. Looking to do the same soon!!
Looks Great!
Thank you!
Is there anyway you have the measurements for a full size bed? Thank you!

Did you ever get the answer ?

This is awesome, thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching.
If I wanted to build this but with out the top half and for a full bed. What exactly would I need to get if you don’t mind me asking?
Great job!!!
Thank you. This one did turn out well
Awesome! And because it is on the floor no monster can hide beneath! ;-)
I had not thought about that. So true.
Good Job, looks simple to make, maybe posting plans if someone want to make one for their child..
SO far all I have is the video. I might make some plans later. Thank you for watching.
Can I store a washer in this shed(Weight (lbs.)208.3) or does it have a weak floor that necessitates an osb platform or additional support?

@@LandtoHouse do you have a plan for it now? I'm looking to build this for my son in the next two days.
@@ambermandel5433 This video is all I have. No official plan.
@@LandtoHouse okay so no dimentions for it? That's the only problem I'm coming across so far!
Hi. How long did it take you to make the bed? If I have no experience at all, do you think I can still do it by myself? Thank you

thank you for the very clear video! really interesting!
Hi there I’m Bulding this bed one of the cuts says 46.75 can you tell me what does that mean in the measuring tape ? It’s it 46 and 3/4?
Yes exactly! My apology. 46 3/4"
What size mattress is this plan for?

I think these are just slightly larger than they should be. But no stuck kids yet haha. Both my kids are all over this bed.
Nicey!
Was that a crib size/toddler mattress? Wanting to make this and maybe try to still use her crib mattress for it.
Yes it sure is!
Nice job! What type of wood did you use?
Thank you. This is just pine.
Very good ! From russia)
Thank you!
How many 2x4s are needed
Hi do you have the building plan available?
do you know how much u spent in wood
For the 2x4s not more than $35.
It's a really nice build, but I hope you go ahead and plug those last pocket holes otherwise why plug any of them at all? 💜🌞🌵
I was trying to think of a way to plug those to make it look nice. But still give it the option to disassemble to move it later

I have not gotten around to this yet. I need to do something to plug those holes that can be removed later. Not sure what I will do.
hi ! what type of paint did you use ?
i think it was white
Ha! Yes it was.
Normal flat latex interior paint.
is it possible to purchase this ?
I believe you can find these for sale online. I don't personally have them for sale because it takes a good bit of work to produce the frame.
wish i can pay you to make one for my 2 year old maybe a little bigger 😩 because i sure don't know how to build lol
Haha well I am learning this stuff too. I hope to have plans soon to help with building the bed.
No one knows how until they do it themselves. You can do it, just research a bit and plan ahead.

What would be the dimensions for a full size bed?
How much did this project cost
Not all that much. It was way cheaper than buying one. But did take some time. I am going to say $30.
@@LandtoHouse Wow yeah waay cheaper than buying one they range from 90-400$ on etsy. Thank you for the quick reply.
Yes that is a lot of money. Hope it helps.
Make sure the space between your pickets is no more than 4 inches. This is code so that your child will not get their head stuck between them.

I will have to measure its really close to 4 in.
Actually the spacing should be no more than 2 3/8” which is regulation for crib slats
That's very interesting. Well now that my daughter is two and a half and just getting in the bed it should be okay. Her head is much larger than 4 in.
