Shadow never really had the chance to lash out his anger for losing Maria in the game, so I can picture him getting progressively more pissed when talking about his loss, then regaining his cool to keep monologuing.
At first I thought he might sound too old but nah, Keanu could absolutely nail this.
This could also be the perfect excuse to bring Amy Rose as well. While she'd still be obsessively in love with Sonic, her kindness and sweet demeanor could remind Shadow of Maria, and bring some kind of clarity into his tortured soul. It has the perfect makings of turning him from a villain to another addition to Sonic's crew.

Except that Shadow’s memories had been altered by Gerald to think Maria asked Shadow to get revenge as her dying wish, Amy when she’s tryin got convince Shadow to spare earth however accidentally jogs his memory by simply saying something extremely similar to what Maria actually said right before she died

Like, I'd love to see Amy jargon his memory, where he sacrifices himself much to the shock and sadness of everyone, Tom and Maddie included. But in the end, he returns with his memories erased, and Amy decides to call him "big brother" from now on, cementing their new friendship.
@@TBONE_2004 the only reason he was a villain in the first place was that he was manipulated into thinking she wanted him to take revenge. Upon realizing she still wanted him to be a hero he had no problem flipping then, and hasn't the rest of the franchise.
