Yay heresy!!! I really want to play this game mode when I'm over next year. I agree with the older rules for challenges and I also miss the killing the closest models
GW really went "Hey you know the army where their entire concept is built around T5 infantry? What if we made them not T5 but kept the same playstyle?"
Can someone explain to me did i just watch a custodian get wiped by Deathshroud? Did geedubs really screw them up that badly? Also josh never roll in those trays. I swear they make the dice rolls bad, let them roll freely
I prefer the Challenges being inviolate. Didn't like the wounds spilling in/out of older editions. But I'm somebody who loves the idea of these challenges being completely inviolate both narratively and crunch wise. Now if only we had an army showcase here...
I think both ways can be good... The problem with the current system is gameplay wise you can just toss in your trashy sgt or other characters and keep your squad alive as they soak up wounds. It just always becomes a problem of "well narratively this guy would fight you but.. it makes no sense in the game"
Mechanically it becomes an issue when a squad with Chosen Warriors can completely shut down a Primarch, if there was a system where bigger characters didn't have to accept challenges from nobodies it would be a bit more thematic seeming.
@@mwgjosh5161 I am not opposed to that idea. Primarch, IC, Character/Chosen Warrior in descending order of importance. Maybe I'll draft up some rules and try them out, see how they work out. Still very much against the wounds spilling in/out of challenges. Except maybe for Night Lords...
quick note - you can never charge further than 12" - the bonus you get from movement speed etc that adds won't let you move past the 12". Page 180

Super happy seeing the silent sisters on the table
Krole was an absolute menace on the battlefield
No army showcase beforehand? We have no idea what u were using
Great game. Josh please do more heresy!
Fyi, think you forgot that the snap firing movement reaction is pinning.
I play 30k deathguard and don't think I ever seen them win in 6 years. Lol.

@@Dermenscha dude cmon, that's true with all the traitor legions. Abilities are more subtle in HH than they are in 40k, that's part of the charm
@@Dermenscha isnt the T5 more for actual full 40K plague marines? not just 30K traitors?
I think Thousand Sons have worse records.
More HH! :D
Piece of advice, can you review the army beforehand?

Typhon is a beast
I like surprises

heresy is the best game by GW, ZM is better and Enemy Unknown is funny to watch
