For the die-hard Bull fans, can we just take a minute to notice how he says, at 8:32 , that sometimes people do the wrong things for the right reasons, and if you know all of the episodes, you would know that they had a whole episode based on that, where a teacher changed one answer to get her student into college, and Dr. Bull was defending her.... Sorry about that. Just some intense fan girl-ing here!
That Swiss Army Knife saw blade really does work. We were locked inside a cage door in a cave in rural China in 1996 and an American with a hacksaw blade on their Swiss Army Knife got us out in 20 minutes.
No aggression here and not scripted. Stephen is an improv man, and he has a way of taking something a guest says and later using it as a punchline by the end of the interview, this time he reacted right away. He got the idea to remake the dream and offer advice just as Weatherly said, it's brilliant and quick witted as Stephen often is.
About 2 years ago Michael was about 30lbs lighter for a marathon. I still like him no matter what. One of my favorite actors since the series Dark Angel.
When they showed that "boarding school photo of Tony" I always wondered if that was a rEal photo of Michael or one there made up just to use on the show but now I know
It's true, a little of his Stephen Colbert from THE COLBERT SHOW nature in this. Keep in mind the entire first part was planned/mostly scripted, and you are supposed to possibly know that, so saying that "the guest is fragile and just want to be loved" was not a cocky ad-lib, he was talking about himself. Stephen is definitely rough on his guests and demands a decent amount of attention, but he is the youngest of 10 siblings. I have 5 siblings and my littlest brother is a very special guy who is a lot like Stephen.
Weatherly seems like a nice person, the show Bull on the other hand is everything that's wrong with the American justice system. Wetting the jurors, influencing the judge ect. Totally unacceptable...
"Don't drag it out. You're a fragile creature. You're in show business because you're a little boy who needs love at all times." ...OUCH. Well, I'm uncomfortable NOW. Rough. This could have been a charming moment, recreating the dejavu, but it just...wasn't. I thought Stephen would do better than that because he's usually so gentlemanly. I wonder what went on between them before, because Stephen wasn't having any of it right out of the gate. Treat everyone like they have a broken heart because everyone has something going on. And this guy seems to, he even told him about it and hinted that he wanted to have that interaction. It would have been so nice. I don't know, maybe this guy was terrible to Stephen before, which would explain his aversion.
If they ever do another version of The A Team (note to casting directors worldwide) Weatherly is the only choice to play the George Peppard role !!!!!!!
i don't mean for this to sound exceptionally offensive, but am i the only one who thinks Michael looks like he could quite easily play Steve Bannon...?
Don't apologize, it's a sign of weakness. I love the Gibbs reference.
Gibbs comes up and smacks him in the back of the head in the middle if the interview.
I love when Michale Weatherly quoted Gibbs. "Never apologize it's a sign of weakness." He just can't get away. lol
Michael said apologizing was a sign of weakness when they were off screen, are y'all just going to ignore that? TONYY
Exactly! Gibbs' lessons!!
Man... This guy's face hasn't aged a day in the last 15 years.
He will ALWAYS be Tony to me.
Same
Same
I like turtles
Stephen Colbert fixes me every night
Michael Weatherly could win a Chris Pine look-alike contest.
I just adore Michael Weatherly. Just binged watched BULL. I loved it. Great actor.
I loved him on NCIS but ignored Bull entirely. No desire to watch it. To me he’s still Tony.
Stephen Colbert.
Making dreams come true!
Stephen is so flattered at the aspect of being in someone's dream...
How have I never heard about this show before? Just watched the 1st episode, and its great.. I loved NCIS
Have always adored him playing in NCIS.. but even moreso now. :)
You guys remember that picture from NCIS??? I had no idea it was real lol...that's so awesome lol
"I BORROWED JOHN OLIVER's GLASSES" OMFG

What's the story of how you ended up there? I need to know lol
It was in 1996...
When they told me that the show based on 'Dr. Phil' was called 'Bull', I just nodded and thought.... "That sounds right to me."
He is just like Anthony Dinnozo
i wish to see Mark Harmon on The Late Show. But Michael is love
I cannot unsee DiNozzo!! And a head slap.. Hahahaha

Meta and layered.
Not that witty tbh

You can tell they are friends, their banter helps me deal with President Bull S. Ite
Stephen seems to be a little tough on Michael. Wonder why ?
Because Colbert doesn't know how to interview unless the topic is TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP...
a heavier Chris Pine.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this.

Dude am I the only one that thought Stephen was really rough on this interview? It just seemed like it was a passive aggressive all out attack
JenilEdwards is there any history between the two?
I find that Stephen Colbert tends to be passive aggressive a lot. I like him but .
Agreed. He's not as respectful to his guests as a host should be.

look4lec Yeah but they don't script it word for word and even then it wasn't a usual interview, it was different, it was aggressive..
No-one's "innocent". You're either guilty or not guilty.
michael weatherly's jason bull character sounds to me more like richard dean anderson's take on angus macgyver but infused with court humor
Never say sorry, its a sign of weakness.
L. J. Gibbs.

I love TVs bull. He and the show deserve more than 6 seasons. It isn’t a British tv sitcom after all!
Weatherly seems like a nice person, the show Bull on the other hand is everything that's wrong with the American justice system. Wetting the jurors, influencing the judge ect. Totally unacceptable...
Disagree

It was clearly a bit they arranged in advance. Stephen didn't seem serious at all.
@@joolieshinythings Stephen is also in show business so it would apply to him too, so it was just part of the comedy.
@@brucemcdowell7604 Is there something about my comment that indicated I thought it wasn't?
omg he wasnt letting michael talk omg lmao
Good one!
He is as tubby as Mcgee now!
A Gatorade but McGhee is super thin now!
He was gaining weight since like 10-S of NCIS, still love him
If they ever do another version of The A Team (note to casting directors worldwide) Weatherly is the only choice to play the George Peppard role !!!!!!!

i don't mean for this to sound exceptionally offensive, but am i the only one who thinks Michael looks like he could quite easily play Steve Bannon...?
Why was Stephen Colbert interrupting so much and being rude?
So atypical. :\ Not cool yo.
reminiscent of craig ferguson
He looks like a young Steve Bannon
Did Stephen just say TAIPEI!!!!!!
Who's a proud Taiwanese like I am 🇹🇼
Do you think actors dream about their shows as if it's real? Not an actual episode, but them just living as their character?
Ya he was good on NCIS
@Michael Weatherly Is this actually Michael Weatherly? If so, your a really good actor.
Damnit Tony
