Far Cry 3 | 1UP Gameplay

This is the kind of video game that you pirate to play, and then later on when your life situation changes for the better you seek out to buy it in order to experience it again. It is that good. Although it lacks some unique mechanics that made the predecessor great, it introduced some good ones that Ubisoft has been trying to replicate with every sequel up until now. The story captivates you from the start and focuses on turning you from a captive to a warrior. Trying to survive in the green forests with the enemies/terrorists called Pirates that tries to shoot you on sight because you have escaped, to trying to survive the wild animals as well, while also hunting others that can help with crafting stuff you will need to carry weapons. Not to mention you are also tested on your loyalty to your friends you rescue along the way, if turning into a warrior has changed you now that you are getting special treatment among the locals. Far Cry 3 is a great ride, Ubisoft was on a roll at this point, not to mention the type of villains they created. Michael Mando does an exquisite job playing Vaas, the type of psycho villains/characters that Ubisoft leaned on for most of their games from this point and introduced characters like Jordi Chin, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed if you will. Which I believe the former 2 might have inspired the villain Dante Reyes for Fast & Furious X played by Jason Mamoa from his way of speaking to dead people like Jordi and a flamboyant type of vibe like Pagan. This game transports you to an island of danger, guns, drugs, wild animals and allows you to drive, swim, parachute, glide etc. You can have fun in so many ways here and it is not even a chore disguised as a side quest.
