Correct !! It ll wrap or crack your disc !! I recommend you upgrading your brake pads and brake fluid(dot 3 or dot 4)to help with brake fade.

It is not the failure sir....Its due to heating of breakpads...in such cases, stop for 15-20 minutes, and let them cool....
Bhai aap keh rhe ho 4-5th gear pe chla rha hu toh brakes pe toh load pdega hi aisi hills me. Mostly use engine braking for slowing down in hills. 2 lakh kilometre (in himachal) se jyada driving experience se bta rha hu ki sbse optimal strategy yahi hoti hai ki turns pe approach speed utni hi rkho jitni apko exit speed bhi chahiye. That way ap brakes ka use minimum rakh paoge.

Automatic he toh L1, L2 lika hua rehta he down hill me L2 laga sakte ho aur xuv Jaise badi gadi me downhill assist jaisa kuch options b rehta hoga iske baare me sure nai hu. Koi b badi gadi me downhill jate time break ka excessive use karne ne sakt manayi rehti he isi liye xuv 500 me b Aise kuch suvida rehti hogi maan ke chal raha hu even though its automatic.
@@thethunder2374 hand break ko kabi b driving me use nai Karna he tyre lock ho jata he ya fir heat ho ke fail. Engine breaking is the only option to slow down any vehicle downhill with moderate use of break.
There are rules driving in the hills use heavy gear on slopes constant breaking makes the brake to worn out

Vikas ji it happens with me also when I was coming back from prasher lake in Himachal Pradesh.. Avoid breaking when u r coming down from mountains and try to come down in 2nd gear because it will automatically slows down you speed .. Then u can avoid breaking every now and then... Drive safe ... Love u

Your wheel caps are also the culprit because it's blocking air and maintain speeds in gear especially in mountain never throw water on that hot drums it's structure become weak .
An a bonus tip long drives check you tire if it's heating iin interval of 150 kms to avoid Tyre blast and yes you are good to go

You should never put water on hot brakes it may cause to damage and rust
Very true vikas bhai it can cause complete damage to break pads, firstly let the break pads cool down and then pour water.
The best way is allow brakes to cool down naturally....

Never pour water on any hot surface, whether it is on the engine head/radiator or on the brake drums/discs. They tend to crack and then you will end up with major breakdown/expense.

We are in 2021 and the professional vloggers nowadays are equipped with all kind of equipment such as tripods, head mounts, body mounts, windscreen mounts to mount the cameras.
Do you think the bikers ride the bikes by holding cameras in one hand.
The vloggers spend lakhs of rupees on their equipments, so a few thousands on the camera mounts is nothing for them.

It happens with Excess and abrupt use of brakes on mountains And even clutch is on risk to get failed if used in excess. Try to maintain a speed with least use of brakes and clutch.

Remove the wheel cover and let the xuv wait for 15-20 minutes.For such long mountain drive, just don't put the wheel cover. Donot pour water on it like this, other wise it may crack..
