- UPDATE: Wynntils has updated to 1.20.2
Everything I've said in this video can just be done exactly the same but for 1.20.2 and it will still work. Wynntils "Launchy" is really good for these scenarios, as it work as a downloader, installer, AND an UPDATER. I will probably make a separate, quick video about Launchy. we'll see

The JVM Argument that you set from "Xmx2G" to 4 is your Ram allocated. Most computers will have upwards of 8g of ram. Setting it to 4 will allow your game to play smoothly for much longer, and also gives breathing room for your mods. There's more to it, but i'm not that smart

The video guide is still accurate, all you need to do is make sure you install the Fabric 1.20.2 instead of 1.19.3! Downloading the latest version of Artemis is all you need to do after that :D

I have a problem, I went for the wynntils launcher. The mods are implemented in the game but I get bad fps, lag spikes randomly and after like an hour it will crash. I have allocated it 8 rams. What can I do?
I need help when I download launchy and I tried clicking play it only says "This feature is not yet implemented. Please check back later!" Did I do something wrong?

Hey, I have a question about the ram usage setting you changed (after pressing the three dots 0:31): What is the maximum number I can put? I have 64 gigs of ddr5 ram, so could I allocate idk… 16 gigs, or is there a limit?
so thats when it gets pretty complicated. Minecraft is pretty trash when it comes to how optimized it is.
4g is actually the best with default JVM and garbage collector parameters, which are other bits of code in the same area where you changed that ram value.
There's a not-so-well known GC called "Shenandoah" that allows for much higher ram resource dumping for an extremely clean garbage collecting process.

what do you mean by armor textures?
Like when I play regular wynncraft without mods i see a lot of people with different armour sets (including mine looks different). But when i use the mod i see only leather to diamond and no costume armour. @@loonitick
@@RopiRapi the only custom armor is the hats, and that's Wynncraft's cosmetic system. I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about.

is changing the 2 to a 4 to increase allocated ram? if so, is there a limit as to how much i can increase it? i have 16gb and i dont mind spending 8 on it
4 is best and there isnt really any big advantage beyond that. 8 would be fine if you have alot of mods

idk if its because im on windows 11 but i don't have the mods folder in my .minecraft
you can just make one. create a new folder and rename it mods
I tried the first method and loaded Wynncraft, nothing showed up or looked different. Tried the launchy, dowloaded it and it created the icon but when tryin to run it it says "Failed to launch JVM". Any idea as to what the problem might be? I am new to this mod stuff so might just as well be that I missed some simple detail.
the wynntils version showed in the video is outdated, so make sure you're downloading the most updated version of wynntils first AND the version of fabric to go with it. Then make sure the game you're launching is your modded installation-- the fabric launcher
Do I need to install Fabric separately if I use Launchy or does it automatically install it along with the modpack?
Launchy should install the entire instance without you needing to put in any effort (unless you wanted to add other mods)

by the way, can you do a video explaining the cosmetics of wynncraft? for me is not clear if its exclusive for those who paid it in the store or if you can get them from other sources that doesnt involve going to the store. (and i dont find any video that explains you how cosmetics works)
cosmetics are only from crates. event crates would be the easiest for players to get without buying a rank, otherwise you're limited to getting only one free crate a month from the wynncraft shop

I have this bug on wynntills and idk what to do. The bug is that all my items are colored dots. The color overlay (like yellow for unique items) is overriding the item or something and I cant change it. I have tried so mutch and like after 30 minutes i cant get it to work. All my gear and weapons are just invisible in my bank and inventory.... Idk what to do haha
are you using the mod WynnLib?
I was told to remove it by someone on the Wynntils discord since it apparently causes this bug. I'll come back with more info if i get any
i tried it and i have some problems
it has not bad fps when i'm not in combat, but for some reason i get extreme lag spikes every 5 seconds on legendary island, especially virus doctor.
also, i chucked optifine into the mod folder but it doesn't seem like it's activating properly.
any ideas on why this is happening?
the downloaded version is Fabric. Optifine does not work with fabric unless you have the mods that allow optifine to work with Fabric. I recommend reading from the list of mods in the video description for FPS Boosting performance mods!
i downloaded adrenaline mods seperately and my god i feel alive with my fps right now, thank you for introducing this
one last thing, whenever i use my mana my screen has this blue-ish hue effect. after i downloaded all the mods from adrenaline, the screen effect gets distorted every time it gets activated. is there some way i can disable this effect?

@@xellulor that's a wynntils feature, you can turn it off in config by searching up "spell cast" and looking through the options. it'd be like, "Spell Cast Vignette". just disable that. i dont know why thats on by default...
@@loonitick Does anyone also know if it's possible to make the quest book in wynntils closable with E, or any other custom key? It's not a major issue, but it's still a pretty annoying qol oversight, having to reach all the way to esc every time I want to close the quest book or settings since that is the only key that works.
i get an error saying my Fabric is 1.19.4 but my wynntils is 1.20.2, but there's nothing i can download other than a 1.19.4 version of Fabric. i'm so confused

installing is still the same way! just make sure the fabric installer is 1.20.2 :D

If you know how to use other mod launchers, then it should be fine. The idea of installing Minecraft mods isn't too hard-- you'll just need to see how to directly install Fabric to your mod launcher

My 1.12 wyntils quest tracker has been messed up for a week now
artemis pretty nice for quests, though it is still missing some key features like a search & filter system for the item and ingredient guides, but all in due time!
how to use wynnlist 1.19.3 and optifine together?
i recommend checking out this modpack: modrinth.com/modpack/additive
it's alternative to optifine, which doesn't really answer your question, but it provides the same deal of stuff like the OF cape.
To directly answer your question, you could just simply use CurseForge with Wynntils and Optifine for 1.19.3

if you are unable to find a mod folder, then you just need to make one yourself. right click > new folder > rename "mods"

you can make one. right click inside of the .minecraft folder -> create new folder -> rename that new folder to mods

when i archive the wynntils file with winrar and add it to the mod folder for the fabric installer, it doesnt do anything to minecraft

i dont know what you mean by archiving. you just need the jar into the .minecraft/mods folder. Make sure you installed fabric for the correct version (install 1.19.4 fabric and download 1.19.4 Wynntils). If that still doesn't work, download Fabric API and also add that to the mods folder (is required for most other mods, but Wynntils doesn't need it)
